Hi Sann
I have generally recovered - I still have blips which can be triggered by stressful events - but I am back at work, driving and out and about as normal again, without the panic.
I sometimes still get night panics - but only occasionally.
It will improve - for me it was gradual and it took time, but it is so much better now. xx

Hi Sann,
Yes i have recovered from panic attacks, i never get them now. Mine started when i was pregnant with my 1st child (10yrs ago) after i'd fainted in the middle of a shopping centre! i couldn't go shopping on my own after that and it took me a few years to get the courage to completely alone but now after all this time, i don't even think about it!! I have been anti-depressants twice now and in my opinion they are great and completely work for me. They helped immensley with the anxiety and panic attacks but they work for everyone differently.
Like hopeful said, it does take time and you will improve.
Hope this helps.
Loadsa Love

Hi,
Panic attack's used to wake me up and I suffered them several times a day, I requested Half-inderal LA 80mg (beta-blockers) from my GP as they were great when I suffered post traumatic stress disorder years before. They stopped what I call the physical symptoms of the panic attacks like the churning stomach, palpatations and shakes, because my body wasn't turning into a jibbering wreck meant I could focus on the emotional side of things which with a little help from fluoxitine and counselling I got through. I had been prescribed different med's prior to this combination inc sedatives which made me feel worse, within 24hrs of changing med's and starting the beta-blocker's I was in control of most of the panic attacks, 3 weeks after starting the fluoxitine my mood started to lift and within 6 mths I was off all the med's and things felt good for most of the time.

Marion
Thank you for your kind words. It's been 7 years now since I suffered and have now recovered, at the time I never believed that I would ever be "normal" again. Life now is better than nomal and PNI is no longer a part of my everyday life.

Sann,
Yes I've recovered from them. At the beginning I had terrible anxiety/panic attacks (spent 10 weeks in psych ward). These days I may get one once in a while (stress induced) but they are very infrequent. The doc said to me that anxiety and depression are buddies, and when the depression lifts so will the anxiety.
Life will get better
Hugs X

I had frequent panic/anxiety attacks - there were awful - I'd nevber had them before PNI so it was a real shock to me. They got better as I began to recover, they became less intense, less frequent, less cary - but not overnight - or even in a pattern - if I was having a tough time PNI wise i was suffering the panics too BUT it does get better. I was on meds which I'm sure took the edge off a bit but others have successfully got through PNI / panic attacks without meds at all x x x How are you doing?
