Got my provisional licence today. It's taken 6 months (as I have MS) but it's finally arrived. It's restricted and will need to be renewed every 3 years but I expected that.
So now I can start driving lessons!

Well done Rach. I too had to keep getting the restricted licence, but after several medicals every time it needed renewing they eventually gave me an unrestricted one.
Will you be trying to learn on in a adapted vehicle? I managed to learn in an automatic car. Cant do manual becuase of muscle control, so couldnt do the clutch.
Wishing you well, you go get em girl.
Love and hugs Chica

It's for a car Scarlet.
Chica - I'll be learning with hand controls. Although when I'm well I'd be able to drive a normal automatic car, when I relapse it mostly affects my legs and there's no way I could drive like that. So I'm going for hand controls from the start cos when my legs go is exactly when I'll need a car most xx

Good on you WKM!
When you get your full license it will be such a breath of freedom! I can only just remember my driving lessons, but I do remember I really enjoyed them. Good luck!

well done hun! it took me a long time to learn to drive as i have Dyspraxia, and i started learning in a normal car but now its on my license that i need a fully automatic transmission with power steering and ABS. it also tokk me 5 attempts to pass my test but i got there in the end and i couldnt be without my own car now. it really helps my independence. anyway, your news not mine lol well done
