I would love to try to make this event but i would need loads of notice and yes it would have to be relatively cheap im afraid and child friendly as im a lone parent. Why dont we all make a list of where we would like to do this and then see what the area we are covering is like then we could maybe narrow this down a little so everyone has to travel? Newwie I would like to suggest a place in york its a great quiet place with woodland all around you nice and peaceful and great to stay in cabins have a look at the websites www.griffonforest.co.ukIts fab have stayed there several times a place where you could all gather in cabins to meet but also have seperate spaces for partners etc, hirse riding, york ten mins down road and lots of walks not organised its like find it yourself thing its fantastic. Hi everyone I think meeting up would be great - not sure how we'd do it though. Really like the idea of a girls night out but the thought of going to pubs/clubs makes me anxious!!!!!!!!! Silly I know, so from my point of few I would prefer quite a low key/relaxed event. Over night would be good though as a night away would do me the world of good whilst ny hubby stayed home playing mum! Already mentioned the poss of a night away and he asked me if I was having an affair or had I met someone online! Men! Always suspicious! I live nr Birmingham (round the corner from Netty) - I dont drive so transprt may be an issue but please keep me posted if anything is arranged! Thanks everyone Marion.

Ok, well how about we comprimise? Sorry spelling off today! We go out for the day with our children and partners, like chester zoo, and then for those who want to stay over, we go out for a nice meal no partners or children!? How does this sound to everyone?

Compromising sounds good to me although i wasn't planning on taking the kids!! unless you count robbie! hahaha. I am up for anything just as long as i get notice. What about if we all say how far we are prepared to travel, as for some this is an issue. I am willing to travel as far as London (and from up here thats about 700 miles away!) cos if we know how far people feel they can go then maybe we'd be able to identify a neutral place for everyone??? what do you think of this idea?

Hey Gail
I agree it sounds like a great idea, would be good for it to be central UK so people have similar distances to travel, how about something around bonfire night? We could tell our stories round the campfire!!
