Hi girls,
I think I may have a problem lol. I have a coil fitted, and it never causes me bother. I only occasionally check its there, bad I know but its not a great task! But the problem is my OH hates it. He says that I cant go on top as it stabs him. He says its jabby lol, and near throws me off! My OH proudly says its just coz his is so big!! I keep telling him to dream on, lol.
Can it really be poking him?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Maybe its not in properly

I have never had the coil so cant comment, but it certainly doesnt seem right that hubby can feel it! (unless he really is EXTREMELY well endowed! LOL x)
Can you nip back to the nurse who fitted it and get it checked? Does it bother you too or just hubby?

Hi stevensmummy, I had that problem once, it turned out it wasn't the coil he could feel, but the string was too long and needed snipping, my husband was gutted, he was feeling very smug up until that point!

I have the coil for 18 months and have not had that problem at all so I would get it checked out in case it is not fitted correctly or like Tabby'smum said it might just need snipping - the coil that is!!!!

Maybe its the string afteral. I think I would feel uncomfortable if it wasnt in right.
OH def thinks hes the superman equivalent! Wont he be displeased lol.
I'll get it checked out this week just incase. Otherwise I'll get him shortened!

LOL Hes not going to be impressed when he finds out we've been laughing at his manhood!
Made app this afternoon. Mon at 3.10. SO see what they say about it. He'll be hoping I dont go getting him fixed!

I have been laughing too. Sorry to your OH But I had a coil for 9 years and I - or rather he - had the same problem - it was the string and they actually had to change my coil because it was not the string was too long but cut too short so it was like a sharp straight fishing line sticking out of the cervix like a pin !!- once it was longer it bent and did not do it to him ! Must have been painful Good luck with your appointment |

Oh right thanks veritee. Seems theres some sort of problem then, sounds alot like the string, so I'm much happier.
Not looking forward to telling the doc its poking him, lol. I think its a male doc too!!

This thread is sooooooooooooooooooooo funny If I am down I think I just need to look at this as everytime it makes me laugh. I was showing my hubby last night and was nearly crying with laughter trying to read it out!!! I don't think he saw the funny side like we have especially as I have the coil and I asked him has he ever been poked! I was in stiches!!!!
Let us know what the doctor says - I don't think I could keep a straight face!!!

I know I think I will mention that tonight and I will say that he must tell me if I ever poke him so I can get it chopped! That might scare him off sex for a while - will def mention that now - another excuse I hadn't thought off !!
He didn't really say much, probably cause I was laughing so much and I think he couldn't see what I was laughing at, I nearly wet myself at one point I was laughing so much - such a good thread!!!
