Hi Melly,
I'm not taking any meds although I did take ADs at the beginning for around 4-5 months. I've been off them since January (personal choice) and am at last starting to see the light. How you doing hun?
Hugs

Hi Melly.
I was on Lofepramine, twice a day. The doector said to up them to three times a day and I was helpless - didn't know where I was and was like I was drunk. I weaned myself off them and, to be honest, haven't flt much different, just dead chuffed I'm 'on my own' and coping well, I think anyway.
BTW when I told my GP I'd stopped my dose he just said 'ok' but DID refer me for CBT - still waiting......... so and setting up my own support group.

Hi Melly
How are you?
I felt terrible around dying and physical symptoms etc.
I didn't in the end take long term medication, but did take diazepam. My GP said that meds. would speed up the recovery and she was probably right. But I survived it (just about). I wished I'd have had the confidence to take them at the time of acute illness.
How's your weekend been?
Hopefulx

I really dont want meds but feel im going downhill more often that feel good. I have a anti anxiety drug, busperine which im also too scared to take now. It ment to be like diazapan but not as strong. Did the med calm u down or did it make u feel worse. Im scared to take it incase the docs have it wrondg and i get very ill whilst taking the meds then dont wake up.

Hi Melly
I have read alot about Buspirone but never known anyone take it so would be interested to see how you get on?
I took diazepam in times of desperation and found it took the edge of things but made me feel more dizzy so knocked it on the head. Although for some people it works like a miracle, I think everyone reacts differently to different drugs.
I woul give the Buspirone a go when you are at a point of crisis and see how it goes. It really wont hurt to try it x

Hi Melly
I'm not on any meds. Initally after my 1st child I was given some but I hated them. I saw them as a false pretense. I knew I was on them so I knew I would never get better. To me it was like a false reality so I took them for about a month then stopped, then a month later I had the courage to tell everyone I had stopped.
I'm not convinced what I did was a good thing but here I am 2 years down with a second baby and PNi has returned. Now I'm not allowed meds as I have been recently diagnosed with epilepsy. I do feel such alot better just now, not due to anything medical or herbal etc etc but due to some self-help mechanisms. Its a long story to tell you about them but if you or anyone else is interested I would be more than happy to explain.
Good luck and i hope you feel better soon
Sarah xx

Sarah,
Sorry you are suffering PNI for a second time.
I am very much interested in self-help mechanisms, please tell if you get the chance.
Hugs

Hi Scarlet Just wanted to let u know I have noticed your response and I will get back to you. Its quite a bit to be honest and dont have the time at the mo, but I hope to get on later 2nite. Once the kids r in bed and my OH finally gets home (apparently about 9 2nite!! ) I should get a chance. I actually think I have some stuff on it somewhere I will look. I'll start a new thread in the same section. Hope you are well Sarah x
