i dont mean to sound as if im feeling sorry for myself, but i have never met my father or any of his relatives and in turn cannot comment on this, but am so curious about it - there are so many things that i dont know about that side of the 'family' - i suppose that there is a good chance that someone on his side did have pni, is it an illness that is commonly perceived as hereditary? if so then at least i know something about them however bad if this makes any sense at all!

It does not sound sorry for yourself Gail at all - did you not know your father? This must leave you with many questions , do you want to tell us about it?

We do not know if PNI has any hereditary links , and I doubt anyone knows at this point as no one has done the research

- Some of us do have relatives who had PNI but this could be co-incidence as PNI affects at least 1 in 10. I had two cousins and my mother and grandmother...

I guess we wanted to try to find out if there was any link - but we certainly do not know and I doubt anyone else does either as yet - perhaps we can find out.
