HI NEWWIE
I had awful side effects when I was coming of my meds some time ago, they were worse than the initial side effects when I started them.WHAT tablets were you taking?.As long as you are feeling well enough to come off the tablets then just persevere they will get milder and eventually go away. regards

hi newwie
I have been reading your other post.I was the same as you about meds but eventually after having severe panic attacks and I think a breakdown appx 41/2 YEARS AGO I was put on seroaxat .It did tak some time but eventually it did go,Unfortunately for me after having another child 11 1/2 months ago it came back when she was 6 weeks old.I could not cope without meds this time as I also had two other children to look after and even though the first medication did not work I changed to Citalopram and after having the dose upped I am having some good days.I think it is definately worth giving the Prozac a go as after reading your previous post I think the RIGHT medication would be of great help to you.
Best wishes
Jo

Hi Newwie,
You said that you have come off your medication but have you stopped the tablets right away or have you gradually reduced them.
If you have stopped them right away this maybe why you are getting the symptoms. If you have stopped them gradually i would contact your GP for advice.
I would speak to someone of your concerns anyway as there maybe another route for you to follow.
Take Care!

Hi Newwie
I have heard that coming off meds can be hard - especially if its from a high dose, without cutting down steadily.
Sounds lilke you are having a realy horrible time of it! I know you dont like meds, but I think if you find the right one (some people try five or six before they settle) they can make the difference.
I dont know what prozac is like (although my sister in law takes it) but maybe its worth a try. You have said before that you are at the point of not caring, but isnt anything worth a try to get back the girl you used to be? - She is still inside!
You sound like a very intelligent, go getting sort of person, so this illness must be extra debilitation for you. I hope you can find the strenght.
Love C x
