Hi,
I was on venlafaxine and yes does make you very dizzy or it did me and sick feeling it took about 10 days for the symptoms to dissapear and then was ok and to be honest i was the same as you had so many different types and strenghts but this is the one that got me back on the road to recovery so stick with it. Thinking of you as its horrible the dizziness its that dizziness that makes you feel sick as puts your balance out a bit. But as i say it was about the fourth one and numerous changes of strenght before this one helped

Hiya
I was on the Venlafaxine a few years ago and had the same symptoms for a week or so, or if I missed a tablet. The only way to describe it is if you move your eyes to the left or right the world follows a split second afterwards. It can be quite disorientating.
Having said that I did feel similar on the Ciprimil so I think its quite a common side effect of any anti D. Just go with it for a week and see if it gets better I am sure it will.

I'm on 225 of these and I find they've been the best for me....sometimes my dose is dropped to 150 when I'm on a good role.....it took ages to find the right ones...if I forget to take them my hands go numb and get a wierd sense of touch....can't really decribe it...and I also get an upset tummy....
Can't remember what the early side effects were.

Hi Bethsmummy
I am not on these tablets so I can't give any advice as to side effects. I am on Citalopram and I did find that there was side effects with these for about 2 weeks. I actually felt worse. I felt anxious and very panic stricken and my heart would really pound and I would just want to sit down or run away! I was never really sure which one. Things settled down ok after a couple of weeks. I think that you just have to perservere for a little while and I think that the side effects usually settle down. Hang in there

Hiya,
Glad the effects are getting a little better. I am on the same tablets & can honestly say out of all the ADs they are the ones that have worked best for me. I never had a real problem with side effects with them but have had similar to what you described with other tablets.
I'm sure with time, they will get better.
Take care Love Lisa xxx
