Hi
Just been reading Annags post, on there there are a number of comments about the side effects of Citalopram.
I thought I had food poisoning last night, woke at 2am and had violent Sickness and Diahorrea (spelling?), and have had continuing Diahorrea all day. Couldnt pin it down to anything I had eaten yesterday other than a chicken wing at a 1st birthday party, but you got me thinking could it be the Citalopram?
GP doubled me up to 20mg a day on Friday, so I wonder if thats whats causing the sickness? I have a fear of being sick at the best of times, so if you have had similar experiences I may make yet another trip to the docs (grrrrr will I ever be away)

hello
Sorry to here your not to good if it it continues I'd talk to your doctor. I was sick to the point where I couldn't keep anything down or eat anything. They also made me really manic ironing at 2 in the morning refusing to ever sit down like I had loads and loads of surplus energy. In the end my husband called the emergency doctor and I came off them. Maybe if I'd stuck with it I would have been ok but it was pretty horrid. It could just be a conincidence though and you genuinely have a virus or food poisoning so dont just stop taking them. It was like really severe morning sickness if that helps any

Jigsy,
Don't know if its any help but I had a stomach bug last weekend that was pretty nasty. We thought it could be food poisoning at first but turns out loads of people came down with it. It only lasted 24 hours tho, so if it carries on after that, could be the ADs.
Hope you're feeling better soon Love Lisa xxx

Hi
This is my 6th week I think and my appointment on Friday was because I wasnt feeling better, so they upped the dose. It can vary on when you feel lifted apparently but they say around 4 weeks to start feeling the benefits.
I just knew they werent enough as I have had depressive ephisodes before so went to get them renewed. If you dont have joy, do revisit your GP and tell them how you are feeling and they can advise whether to up the dose.
HTH
