OK, I only started using this yesterday, so probably won't see much for a while, however I wanted to get things started, just incase it does make a difference.
One thing I did notice today, but can't guarantee it was to do with the cream or not - I had my first full night's sleep in AGES. I woke up as usual at 4.30am, however, last night I just rolled over and went back to sleep. I'd usually have stayed awake for a couple of hours before managing to get back to sleep. This may be just a coincidence, but thought I'd better keep note incase it becomes more than a coincidence.
Apart from that, no other difference so far - however, had an extremely stressful day today, with a family wedding, my little one having the biggest strop EVER, while a couple of older family members telling me what I SHOULD do, rather than acknowledging that I've done this for a while now and know what my little one needs etc! So even though I had a bit of a strop, I think it was 'justified' under the circumstances lol.
Maybe it's just me, but after another application today, my breasts do feel a little more lifted than usual - probably it's just me, looking for changes and hoping! lol
Shall keep you posted xxx

Hey Veritee
No more changes I'm afraid - although I did try it when I'm at my worst that I've been for months, so very hard to pick up changes at the moment.
My sleep has definately been better than it's been for a while though. I still wake up every so often during the night, but have managed to go back to sleep within 5 or 10 minutes, not every 2 or so hours! So fingers crossed that continues.

I think it was the worst time to start trying this cream as I'm the worst I've been in ages and also had my period! lol
Anyway, this Saturday, the last day of my period, when I'm usually getting better, I had the worst PMT rage I've had in months. I really had to try my best to not lose it with my litte one and hubby and I had a few rows. I was really at boiling point. I don't think I've had PMT that bad for at least a year!
Just incase it was this cream messing my hormones about, I stopped using it and am now feeling more normal (OK, still not great, but not homicidal lol!!). I've just started using it again today, and will let you know if this happens again. I spoke on the phone to someone else I know that has PNI and she says she can't use progesterone cream as it sends her loopy, so maybe that's what it is, will just have to wait and see.
Will keep you updated xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm not sure what to do. I was taking a turn for the worse before I started the yam cream and thought I was getting a little better, however yesterday and today, the 'drugged up' exhausted feeling has come back again really badly - to the point where I can't get up in the morning and from the afternoon nap when my little one wakes up. I haven't felt like this in ages. I don't know whether to stop the cream or persevere.

OK, I decided to stop using the Yam Cream yesterday as I'm still feeling horrendous. It's hard to work out whether it's the yam cream causing this or not, so thought it was best to try it again when I'm a little better, so that if the symptoms come back again I can definately put it down to the cream. I'll keep you updated when I start again xxx

It can be so hard to know what to do can't it?! I was prescribed some herbs from my chinese doc and thought it was them that were making me worse but even when I stopped I still go the same feelings - I think PNI just makes us so aware of our bodies / minds / etc that we try to find reasons for everything.
When you try again with the yam cream let us know x Anything that helps x

A little bit better, but still worse than I've been for a while - this will hopefully change after my benefit stuff's sorted out.
Shall definately let you know when I start trying it again x

Dear Babytails
I am so sorry you are not feeling very good. Those PMT rages are horrible aren’t they? I used to get them when I had PNI and they came back for a brief time just before my periods stopped altogether due to the menopause.
Have you considered again about trying the Progesterone cream? That’s what I used both times and it worked for me. I did not use it for ages either time just while the symptoms were really bad.
I know your doctor would not endorse progesterone but APNI and NAPS are both backed by doctors and they do approve of P cream. Perhaps you could contact either for their advice on this?
I know nothing about the yam cream but as I did take the progesterone I do know about this as I did my research well and know and it is very unlikely if not impossible to cause these PMT rages or make these symptoms worse and very likely to either help or do nothing.
As progesterone is the hormone in your cycle that causes the opposite of rages - when you have the most progesterone will be when you feel the calmest - and it is well known to calm people down ( it can also lead to weight gain though)
I always sound like an advertisement for progesterone - I really do not mean to be and I do not endorse or recommend any product or treatment over another – as different things suit different women.
I just suggest it because it worked for me and might be worth trying if you want to give hormone supplements a go. It might not work for you and we all have to find our own aids to get through this and for many it is Anti Ds, others its this sort of think and others counselling , therapy or alternative treatments like Rekki etc ( this was great for me too I really love Rekki but can not afford it very often)
Ps Yoyo I found Chinese medicines always have upset me - I once took some for unexplained nausea and dizziness and I do not think I have ever felt so sick or so dizzy? Perhaps it has to get worse before it gets better - but I just could not bear it so I stoped taking the medicine straight away.

Hows things Babytails?
I too tried the Progesterone cream with some good results - just took the edge off a few symptoms.
---- Vee - yeah the Chinese medicines can be hard to stomach - i think it can often be a make it worse ot make it better (bit like anti-d's can be too) it all depends whether it's just too awful to continue with the side effects. In fact just before i got married I had a really bad outbreak of spots on my back (no good as my dress was backless!!) so went to docs and tried lots of stuff (mainly steriod creams & anti-biotics) but not good, went to see chinese doc and got some herbs that needed boiling up (eye of newt, tail of cat lol etc) and then drinking like a tea - YUCK never tasted anything so revolting in my life but they cost a fortune so forced myself to finish the course and within 10 days I had a spot free back - clearest it had ever been. The only reason I carried on though was coz I'd already paid for it all!! Would not have done otherwise - - - can't remmeber what I was trying ot say now ... lol ....

I still haven't tried the wild yam cream again. I thought it best to get this incapacity benefit stuff out of the way, as the added stress from all of that may be what's pushing me back down again.
I do want to try the progesterone cream though, as soon as the dust settles I shall try it.
Thanks girls xx
