Lofepramine anyone taken this before?

I have been given this medication to try and the list of side effects is endless and i seem to have suffered a great deal of them, some are settling now after 5weeks of taking it but wondered if anyone else has tried this?
My phychatrist has prescribed them though as apparently gp's cant so not sure if many will have tried this.
But i also seem to have a side effect that is not listed and cannot find it anywhere and just wondered if it was another side effect that others have had?
Its just the crying, tears all the time and sometimes do this unconsiously untill i realise that the tears are streaming down my face for no apparent reason some of the time.

I guess no one has taken this before ? I hope its not a wierd one like....
Any info would be grateful as all i can find is the side effects basic listing and nothing else.
I wonder what it actually does ? Chemical intake or what? Any ideas anyone?

I took Lofepramine before, it did not agree with me , however i soon found an alternative which was much better. At the time, my psychiatrist advised that medication sometimes needs to be taken on a trial and error. If you are not personnally happy with this med, please go back to your Dr.

I took this years ago again prescribed by a shrink it was not very effective, it is sometimes chosen as the risk of overdose is low with this medication. yes had side effects dry mouth etc.

hi i was prescribed this in december 2007..................i cried and cried and cried for weeks i could not stop.........the more they upped the dose the worse i felt. the psychiatrist didnt believe it was the tablets doing this to me so i stopped them and the tears along with other physical symptoms all went. she had to inform the drug company of these side effects.........there is ayellow card system or something where you can put down your side effects so they can make sure all side effects are listed on the information leaflet. i really would as to try another one......ive just been put on dosulepin only third day so im waiting see how it goes. feel free to email me xx
