Hi,
Iam currently on fluoxetine for PNI, I have been on it now for approx 6 weeks. My depression is still very much there although the crying has slightly reduced. However my anxiety doesn't seem to be getting any better. Does anyone have any experience with this drug?
thanks Anita xx

Hi Anita, Yes I am. It has been a hard 5 weeks, but I have no intention right now of stopping taking them. I was sick, headachy and anxious to start with - but I can sleep and not have night panics or breathing problems (I had this for 3 years and this is a welcome relief) . It's a deal I am prepared to make as I see it as the lesser of the 2 evils! I had jaw ache for the last week - badly actually as had to take pain killers. But this is easing. I still sleep an awful lot, but I'm going to stick with it as I feel sure that things will move forward and the anxiety has decreased so much it helps give me quality of life Hopefulx

Hi, I've been on these since August. I was really quite ill the first few weeks but things have leveled off now. Have felt pretty good, but having a blip today. Good luck. Carol xoxox

Hi Anita
From what the experts told me its either one of those things that works for a person or not. Everyone is different, but i would def gice them a bit longer to see what you think and if in doubt go back to your gp. I was on them and they werent for me, but loads of women swear by them!
Really hope its the answer for you x

I have been on it for a few months now and am only really feeling full benefits now. The feeling yucky still comes and goes now and again but not like when I started. I have found that I get over blips quicker too now I used to cry at everything but that has almost stopped now. Hope you stick with it as I have found it to be a real help. Liz x

Hi I was on fluoxetine for about 15 months and it is a wonder drug..the side effects are crap but as long as the benefits outweigh them I was happy to take it. xx
