Hi Gail,
There's a book by Kyriacou which might help. It's called 'Effective Teaching'. In the past there have also been some quite funny research articles (in Education Guardain/ Times Ed.) on what e.g. a group of 8 year olds think makes for a 'great teacher'. Quite an amusing comparison with what the academics say. ...
As to the visual aids, I'm not sure really...although I think Powerpoint can be deadly if not used very carefully and with few words/ lots of images and lots of 'You' as a person!
I had the exact same theme when I interveiwed for my PGCE in the early 1990's - and the group of Heads and Lecturers watching me took on the role of naughty school kids - !!!! But it was fine - I moved one of them to the front, lol!!
Sorry, I could go on forever about this, but hope you get on ok with your prep.
HopefulXX

Hi Gail Handout is a good idea - for al those things you can't fit into the 5 minutes! About what to say, sure you'll be fantastic - just remember 5 minutes is not long. GOOD LUCK!! Will be thinking of you. HopefulXX
