Hi
Could anybody please help I'm on a temporary contract and been into see my boss today who says that he cant make me part time (this is a man who threatened my job to another colleague whilst pregnant which led me to be of with upset for 2wks) i like my job but he is dead set on me not going back , i cant do full time like i did before

Hi Jhey
You have to write your intentions to work part time to your empoyers and they must respond in writing within 14 days. They legally have to give it serious consideration and have to have a good reason to say no. But to be honest, good reasons can be such as `detrement to the business' `loss to the business' etc. If they write back in 14 days and say No, you can appeal it. Have a look at Acas website. I always find it pretty useful x

Winegirl's advice is spot on.
I went from full time to part time without a hitch really (HR will provide you with the paperwork usually)

Thanks for that will check it out ;D I can't believe that i have to go through so much hassle when i'm feeling like i am, i just keep thinking sod it and leave but hey thats me fight to the end, if its something to fight about it somedays i can be a suffregtte the next a mess
