Hi everyone,
I started back to work about a fortnight ago and since returning have had a blip.
The thoughts have returned - mildly but i am scared again and am a bit panicky.
Will this settle down after a couple of weeks? I have returned after being off work for summer holidays

Hi Gail
Blip is the right word, which means it will pass! Being at work can be stressful and we all know that stress can bring these blips on.
It will pass for you soon hun, hang in there. How are you finding work generaly?

I reckon winegirl is right. Blips do pass, it prob is the stress of being back at work.
Hang in there

Gail,
It's a blip due to the stress you feel of going back to work...like you said it's a mild one which shows you are well on the road to recovery and almost near the end. Ride it out hun, I'm sure it'll be short-lived.

Hi Gail We both work in similar fields - long holidays are bad enough before returning to work, but with PNI on top is much harder. This time has been better for me - but I have had migraines. Hopefully in a couple of weeks, things will settle down again (for both of us ) Hx

Thank you all for your support.
To say it has been a shock to the system being back would be an understatement! I am getting around 20 emails an hour and my phone is going constantly! arggghhhhh!!!
I can think objectively about it - I do recognise it's a blip, but I haven't had one for ages, and I keep thinking about embarrassing scenarios in work that could happen re mental illness! Stupid, I know, but again, I suppose it could be an extension of PNI - I am in a position of huge responsibility - looking after teenagers and adults - and I keep imagining the worst case scenario. Like me telling my boss to f**k off for no reason, or poking a student n the eye or just attacking someone randomly in the corridor!
I am also being quite irrational and paranoid (!)
I know I will be OK> I love my job and know it will get better

Hi Gail
Its fab that you recognise that it will be over soon. I used to come close to swearing at my boss and poking people in the eye without the PNI!
Hope it lifts for you soon hun x
