hello everyone,
Well thoses who know me by now know i have a very hyperactive son.It all started when he came out of the womb.....
As a baby he didnt sllep at night and was almost noctrnal in his habits so much.So you would have thought he would have slept during the day.....no.
And to add to it he had to be entertained/talked to all during daylight hours.By the time he hit toddlerhood he was like tigger 24/7.
He never slept through til he was two years and two months and it was a relief and at first we thought just a fluke. He is on the go, never took naps, loud, could be destructive. But on the positive a very loving( even when stroppy) child.
Now
Hes three and a half and been in school(nursey) for 6 months.
He is now still on the go but does crash literally at 7 ish every night and goes to bed willingly.
He is still very independant and has to do everything himself and gets frustrated and stroppy when he cant do things. At home he turns a deaf ear to us almost all the time.
He is rude to us and we have to prompt him for his manners.
He lives on thin air.Eat...thats a joke. And no super nanny or little angels approach works and believe me i have tried all approaches with strict commitment.
Time out on the stairs.......he loves it!
But then..........he will come to me and with his big brown eyes say "mum im your bestest buddy aint i"
and my heart melts.
I do struggle with him.
But now onto what this thread is about.
I just had his first parents evening.
Mrs D. Torin is a well behaved, independant and good mannered little boy.?
Sorry
Yes he plays well with his peers.
EH?
He is thoughtful.
Oh come on now!
He has very good concentration skills.
I think you have the wrong kid here!
And wait for it....heres the biggy.
He is about 18months in advanced of himself and is at a point that a much older child would be.He is very bright intelligent little boy.
Ahhh
so thats why he is a little pain in the bottom.
Hes frustated.
Apparently when a teacher asks him to answer a simple question he looks at them as if they are the thick ones.
So hey looks like i have a little genius on me hands girls.
But he still aint going to cut any slack with me and his meal times and fighting with his sisters though.
Thought i would share this with any fellow mums with babies right now that are not doing what babies should and giving them major grief all the time they might have a clever little cherub on their hands
so hang in there.
