Hi everyone
Just needed a bit of advice as to what Chloe's rash might be - it came up a little bit yesterday on the left side of her lower back and has spread a little bit round the front. It's little spots.
She seems to be sore down below and had bad diaorrhoea yesterday early evening which we put down to eating satsuma on friday and a little bit sat evening - not really had it before but really enjoyed sucking on it!
She's fine in herself and has had nice solid poos today but the rash has spread slighlty.
Just wondered if people though it sounded like allergic reaction to orange or could it be something else?
Thanks everyone Marion.

Hi Marion
It could well be linked to the orange not so much an allergy too it more like that it just upset her.
Are the spots like little blisters as that is what chicken pox spots look like.
The other thing to check is to see if the spots dissapear when you press a glass on them.
My advice though if you concerned is to pop along to the doctors usually rashes are nothing to worry about and they can't find a reason for them to be there but its always best to get things checked out.
Let us know how it goes

Hi Angel
Done the glass test and they do dissapear so that's ok. Mark doesnt think they're chicken pox spots - they range in size which is quite odd. They sort of look like acne spots. Will keep an eye on them today and if they get any worse will take her to the dr tomorrow. She always seems to get bugs or things always seem to happen on a bank holiday or weekend!!!!!!
Thanks Marion

If they look like acne spots then that sounds more like chicken pox as they come up in all sorts of sizes and they are like little blisters that will scab over after a while although with chicken pox they do tend to spread really quick.
If you do take her to the doctors tomorrow let us know how you get on
Take Care

Dont think it's chicken pox as have had a look on internet and it says that they go into blisters within a couple of hours and her definately arent. She seems fine and has eaten all her tea so that's good.

Hi Hopeful Chloe's rash is ok now but she's still got bad diarhoea. She slept right through (must have been worn out) but isnt eating today. She had a bit of milk this morning but that's it so far today. She's taking juice though so that's something. Nothing I can do - just got to wait for it to pass - getting through a lot of nappies and wipes though!!!!! Hope yours are feeling a little better and you're managing to get some sleep. Love Marion.

Hi Marion
Just thought i'd see how Chloe is now, it can be reallt stressful when they are poorly. Molly had her MMR on tuesday and she has been a bit grizely since.
How are you did you manage to avoid the bug as well.

Hi Angel Chloe's still not really eating, She had some bottle last night and a little bit inthe night and managed to get half a petit filous in her this morning but hvae phoned NHS direct to ask how long it is ok that she doesnt really eat for - waiting for a nirse to ring me back. She seems fine in herself and is drinking loads of fluids but the not eating thing worries me. She last ate properly teusday lunch time.
I'm ok - think I had this bug a bit about 10 days or so and Mark seems to have escaped it too (for now!). Hope Molly's feeling better and you're managing to get some rest!
Love Marion

Nurse has phoned me back - she says it sounds like we've turned the corner (only done 1 nappy in 2 hours this morning so definate improvement) and as long as she's taking fluids then that's ok. She said I could take her to the dr's but they will probably say it's just a question of bug working it's way through so that's ok. May take her tomorrow again if she's still not eating.
