Is it possible to be ill this long?

My little boy had been having diarrhoea for 3 and a half weeks now and the docs dont seem concerned. The took a sample but I keep phoning for the results and nothin is back thats been since last fri. They say it could be gasterioenteritis (excuse the spelling) but dont seem to be concerned. Hes losing weight and really grumpy and is hardly eating. Am I being a paranoid mum or should they be doing something? Is there anthting they can do?

aw bless! i cant believe they arent doing anything. have you tried NHS direct? they are really helpful and wont think you are a paranoid mummy hun. their numbers on the web and in the phone book. tell them everything though, so they can help you decide whats best. good luck, let me know how it goes xx
