Meant to also say, I absolutely love the music though and the part at the beginning where the little boat goes sailing away with Igglepiggle. Can't you tell I like it too ;D

My bub is besotted. My mum has just ordered her some night garden toys for xmas! I think it rocks too, though it is a tad creepy at times. Like the little songs each character has for itself, especially mackapaca (or however u spell it...)

We have never watched it so can't comment on this particular programme, but I think you have to go with what you think is best. I have never let E watch anything where they don't talk properly or are badly behaved, for example, and so I wouldn't let her watch this with all the silly names for everything

Know what you mean Sare, I thought the same 10 years ago with my eldest, when Teletubbies came out, they didn't talk properly and I worried that he would grow up talking like a teletubby.....but I succumbed in the end, and he doesn't, which I am glad about. I am not so strict with no.2 I have to say ~ although I do limit viewing. The Night Garden has a narrater that speaks very well, although the characters themselves don't say much. The colours are really good, there's lots of singing and dancing, and the theme tune (played on and off throughout) is very soothing for bedtime. As for watching programmes where kids aren't behaved. I let my 10 year old watch Supernanny/Nanny 911 and always threaten him (as a joke though, because he's pretty well behaved) to get Supernanny to our house to sort him out, if he plays me up .

Bit of a tongue in cheek post..not really disturbed by it. It's quite tellytubbyish in places but the narrator does speak properly and anything that amuses bub is a winner in my book! xx

Just watched it for the first time and have to say that itis the most awful thingI have seen in a long time! Saying that,my little girl is too old for it now but if she was younger I would probably let her watch it.
Is this on around bedtime? She's not allowed to watch tv before bed.
God, I must sound so strict!!

lol Winegirl E-O. ;D I've been around loads of mums who let their kids over the years watch the TTs and not one of them grew up saying E-O. I was a bit concerned myself 9 or 10 years ago when it first came on the TV, and my eldest was a wee bubs and I was a first time mum. He was a late talker and I thought he might talk like Tinky Winky, but he doesn't I'm glad to say. I think I'm more laid back with no.2 despite the PNI, and I do let him watch CBeebies in the morning. His favourite is Night-Garden by far I have to say. Isn't it amazing that they can make programmes that captivate our kids in such a way. When I was a kid, all they had was the flumps and Andy Pandy.

Never watched it but the kids have lol. I am a bad mummy as mine watch too much TV. Saying that its amazing what they have learnt from watching some of these silly programmes. One example is the yellow line on the platform at the train station. My 5 year old informed me we must not step over it as we could get hurt by the train or fall on the tracks, this was thanks to Tweenies, just shows what they can learn. Liz PS Jamies and the magic torch fan here Liz x
