Hi Lonelygirl
I'm afraid I'm not going to be much use. The only thing I can think of is when he's been naughty and off on one of his temper tantrums is to do the naughty step thing. That's what we do with Chloe if she's been really naughty or otherwise just leave her to play her tantrum out, giving her as little attention as possible so that she knows that this isnt the way to get our attention. As for the head banging, I'm sure this is just a phase he's going through where he's trying to test your boundaries.
Love Marion.

If you have somewhere safe lo can kick off then put them there. Some just do it out of frustration others just get into a habit. I knew someone who was told to pin her son down when he started as use to injure himself, they said then it was just his way of showing his anger. The only thing that you need to do is make sure he is safe, other than that the naughty step is a great way of doing it. I have a 2 1/2 year old who pushes the boundaries sometimes Liz x

Lonely girl, just a thought but perhaps you can buy one of those travel cots with the padded sides, and each time he head butts, put him in it for some time out. This may do the trick hun.

My LO did it for a while but not out of temper. She would accidently knock her head on the wall of the radiator, and then act like `this is cool' so keep doing it! Not sure what it was all about but she stopped after a while, must have been a phase. I too ended up putting her in her travel cot so she couldnt hurt herself and it seemed to so the trick x WG xx
