Guys I've come accross a hard one!!!
My 2yr old, has been asking lately about my lack of a 'willy'. I just said oh thats what boys have not ladies. Then it was well where did it go etc. I ended telling him ladies dont have willys they just have bums. No laughing guys!!! Then he says 'what a front bum and a poo bum?' and I sort of said yeah thats right, 2 bums.
Now he wants to look at mine! 'I want to have look at you funny bum.'
Help, what do I say
Sarah xx

im going through this with cavan. except he keeps saying "cavans got a peepee, mummys got a peepee, everyones got a peepee!" i just keep explaining that mummies a girl and boys and girls have different bodies. if hes like cavan and is at the 20 questions stage, just keep things vague and simple for now, but always tell the truth. good luck x

We have 2 girls so maybe they're a bit different but we've always just been open and happy to be naked in front of them. The eldest is 4 years and we just told her that ladies have lady bits (that's what she calls her front bum LOL) and men have willys. That's about as far as that conversation ever got to. We were wondering at what age we should not let my OH be naked in front of her but at the moment we're still using the family changing room at swimming and she's fine with that. She did want to touch it once about a year ago but we said you didn't touch each others lady bits and willys. Hmmm, not looking forward to the next stage of that conversation xx

Cheers guys,
Its real hard isnt it. I havent been dishonest I just dont know what else to say without either cracking up or tellin some story.
As you say Caz its hard to stay simple and vague with 20 questions 24-7.
We have been the same bobyn, I'm often walking about naked lol and my OH has never really hidden his bits, but hes a bloke so I guess it dont matter too much if you have boys.
Its just so hard to know what to say. He keeps asking what front bums are for and I just said to pee from lol
Cheers guys xx

Lol it is hard hun, and embarrassing. My eldest is doing sex education at school next term (almost 11), and I've seen the book already....and he's really excited about it, and I have to do the homework with him which should be fun. Can't remember what I told him when he was younger and he asked. I think I told him that girls don't have peepees, they have a tuppence xxxx

My cousin had a little boy and then had a twin girl and boy. She was trying to explain to the older boy about 'boys and girls' and she said the same - Little James and you have a willy and a bottom and mummy and Abbie have front and back bottoms! xx

Oh noooooo...
We call A's ''front bottom" a peepee so now she's going to be really confused if she realises some boys call their willies a peepee! I do think though that this is such a natural stage of curiosity and we shouldn't worry about giving straight (if humorous) answers to their questions (A - aged 2 - is actually naked in the living room at the mo, she loves her bod heehee)

LOL Naomi, my eldest was born in Germany and that's what they call a childs willy over there...so it sort of stuck.

I dont ever want to explain a will to my little girl - i am crap at all this stuff in as much as my approach is to either be VERY honest or very full of s***, so might let hubby handle that one.
My mum used to call what we call `tinky/foo foo' as a tulip. Confused the hell out of me when she had a vase of them on the coffee table one day.
