I think the trick is to figure it about before hand. Wish I had seen this thread before I had blurted out the term `tinky' in our house!! LOL x

This is funny thread but something we all go through.
We call Daisy's her minky and jamie has a willy. She is always saying that mummy and daisy have a minky and jamie and daddy have a willy and then when nanny and grandad come round we have to go through it all again including them. She has an obsession with pulling jamies willy as well. We think we've managed to stop her now but I think she thinks it's just funny this thing sticking out. The other day we were stood in the kitchen and she came in and said 'mummy I can smell something' and asked her what and she said 'your minky'!!!! What a thing to come out with!!! She did make me a bit paranoid cos I thought maybe I do stink. I'm just glad she didn't say it while we were out!!

OMG! ;D That's hilarious! Bit perturbed about the discussing it with nanny and grandad too - not sure my in laws will cope with that, they are very reserved!! Might have to ask MIL in advance how they explained it to DH when he was little..... xx

Defo need to talk to my DH about this I think - he hasn't got a clue about how innocent kids are, and how they ask anything at any time.... Friend of mine left her little girl with Daddy for the day while she went out (LO is 2 and a half) and Daddy had to take her to the loo with him when he had a pee. Little Katie sat on the bathroom floor and suddenly asked - 'Daddy, what are you holding?' He replied 'This is Daddy's willy' Little Katiee thought about this for a second and then said (holding her hand out) 'Katie hold Daddy's willy?' Thought that was one my DH would struggle to get out of so have pre warned him..... xx

LOL LOL LOL OMG I need to log off and go to bed but had to reply to this thread! You're all mad!! ;D Haven't got here with my LO yet although we've always called it her 'bit' so now in the bath and she's commentating it's 'wash arms' 'wash legs' 'wash bum' 'wash bit' hilarious!! She did point at my area when I was coming out the shower the other day, looked most confused and said 'mummy hair!' Think it's time for a wax............. hee hee! xx

Thanks to this thread I had a chat with my DH last night about what we will say when our LO gets to this stage...it was quite funny coming up with ideas of what to call lady's bits.... Think we will call boys bits 'willys' and girls bits 'girly bits'. My DH thought quite hard about it since he said that when we are potty training her we need to say 'wipe your girly bits and bottom...' so it needed to be something easy to say... Was quite surprised he thought that far ahead! Told him about nanny and grandad possibly being brought in on the conversation and he was also concerned how his parents would take that! xx

It's funny because we call Daisy's bits her minky. Don't ask me why I thought of that. I usually say minge or vag so had to come up with something a bit nicer. I could just imagine her going to pre school and saying to one of the workers that she needed to wipe her minge..!! It's not quite right is it. OH won't say it though. I try and make him say it but I think he is a bit embarassed cos it sounds funny coming from a bloke!!
