I posted a moment ago but it hasn't saved and don't know why!

I wanted to wish charlie a wonderful birthday. I really hope he enjoyed his special day.

I do empathise with you not being able to afford to buy him a present. It must be diffiuclt for you . However, your son has something money can't buy - a wonderful, loving and caring mum who I'm sure made a right fuss of him.

You're not a failure at all. I dont'mean to trivialise how you feel, but toddlers they dont' care whether they get pressies or not. Wrapping up old toys was a super idea and Im sure it brought him more pleasure than any present in itself. I knwo that's what my two enjlyed the most.

Please try not to be too hard for yourself.

beanz trust me, at that age he would have been more interested in the wrapping if hes anything like cavan was. well done for having a backup plan, you should be proud of that. and i agree with monica, hes already got the best pressie in you and the time you spend together.
