Hi Claire. How are you feeling now? I have just had a quick read up on your other thread. How do you feel about having to have the whole ovary removed? Daft question I know but its the sort of thing that can hit some people quite hard. I remember my Mum being offered councelling after having a hysterectomy. When do you get your results? Anyway chances are the worst of it is over with now, so take it easy and make the most of having everyone fuss over you. ;D

Well its 6pm im gonna have some soup for my tea something light so hopefully wont upset me to much, im still in pain but it isnt going to go away is it it just feels like stretching of the skin and stinging and when i need to pee cos my bladder expands it starts hurting lol.
I had a good cry this morning to my partner because the list of things they gave me to do for 12 weeks was shocking and i feel so useless, i wasnt expecting it to take so long so i guess the hardsent part is accepting that i need to rest and it will take time to recover, iwent back to bed till 12.30 and just sat watching tv today im gonna have some tea a bath and watch the soaps and just go to bed again...boring.
I asked my partner if he thinks i will ever feel 'well' again not just about the operation but like i used to with the depression etc he says that he is sure i will and just need to keep thinking about that day when i feel happy and healthy again.
I feel ok about having my ovary taken out i was very upset at 1st as i thought it would mean my chances of another baby would be halfed but the doc says the other just works harder to make up for it and i will still be able to have another baby in the future i guess i feel worse about not being able to be a 'proper mum' to hollie i carnt pick her up or when she falls go to her i carnt bath or dress her. It took me such a long time to bond with her the 1st time i hope that we dont drift apart again.

It took me such a long time to bond with her the 1st time i hope that we dont drift apart again. Not sure how old she is, but basically just make sure you spend a bit of time with her each day reading stories or something small like that. This way she knows you're not rejecting her and that its just because you are poorly. My hubby has the same problem at the moment. It took ages and a lot of hard work on his part to build a proper bond with our kids, but since he has been ill he is unable to do much with them at the moment. So he gets them ready for bed, reads a story and puts them to bed. This has kept the bond strong so that when I'm not about they don't really mind so much (they used to scream the place down).

Well i had a really good nights slepp 10 hours without waking and the nurse has been this morning and said my scar looks like its healing well im in pain still but i do feel a little better and less tearful i suppose its easier to battle the pain if you have had some rest. So far so good.

10 hours... I'm jelous I haven't slept for more than 2-3 without waking since I was pregnant with my first. I got a total of 4 hours lat night and that includes getting up 5 times. (pritty good night actually). Anyway glad you are feeling better, rest certainly does help, and after all you don't sleep so well unless you need it. (well thats my excuse anyway )

Hi hun, although the staples look scary, they're just closing the very top layer of your skin. You have other sutures inside to keep everything else closed. Some of them might be uncomfortable coming out, but it should'nt be painful. They've had a good poke and prod of your insides, and you'll be bruised internally, but the pain will get better. Please be kind to yourself, and try not to do too much!
