Hunnybeanz - good on yer girl!! Come on ladies lets get it out there what PNI is like and raise some cash!! Think children in need - Mothers in need!!! I tell you I know that if Karan & me had sufficient funds we would work on PNI full time and open up our helpline nationally - even though if anyone from anywhere rings we would never turn them away, but more cash would enable us to advertise everywhere across UK Anyway digressing...keep up the good work H!!xxxx

Sufficient funds !!! Something I have dreamed of.........so far
I too for many years have wanted to open a national emergency line ( not like APNI which is only by pre-arrangement and they do not pay for the phone calls, they rely on the good will of their befrienders to foot all the costs of their contact with those they support)
but like parentline, Samaritans etc open 24/7 just for PNI
So if you ever get those funds Jo and Karen count me in! I have failed to raise anywhere near as much, we only just get enought to run this web site
but I was thinking we could look to start in our own areas in a small way and hope one day those local lines could merge?
Hunny - good on you girl , very brave - but I do not like to think of you with a shaved head so near to the modeling finals - but as said there are some good wigs theses days but perhaps you should wait till you have done the modeling thing?
But I will say it is amazing what women have raised individually from time to time with their efforts.
A few years ago one woman gave a birthday party for herself and instead of presents asked her friends to put money or cheques in a pot for PNI......
and she raised £500 in cash and cheques in one night and gave it to us !!
This almost kept us going for about 2 years!! i.e the basic costs of the web site - until we got our first NHS grant - so one womans effort on just one night meant so much to so many women - and she does not ever want to be named
