Hi Caterina
You need a king prawn vindaloo followed by a bowl of fresh pineapple...
Hope you manage to avoid the sweep babes! Thinking of you xxx

Thanks WG! Just sucked it up and went for sweep this morning, managed to leave LO with MIL so 1 less trauma!! Wasn't too horrendous (well in comparison to childbirth!) but no signs of anything yet. MW didn't think I would need my induction date but booked me in anyway. Have a wee while to get this baby out using any means possible! Hubby wants to go see the new batman film so maybe a bit of drooling over Christian Bale followed by the curry and pineapple is the way forward........ xx

Don't forget the Jasmin oil bath, my friend swore by that one (then named her daughter Jasmin lol).
The sweeps are well worth it though rather unpleasant. My son took 3 sweeps, not nice but it worked.
Good luck.

ps, would I get the jasmine oil in any shop or is it a Holland and Barrett job? I'll try anything and a bath is 1 of the most pleasant suggestions I've had! x

Oh, just noticed you had posted and jumped straight on here to find out what you'd had I hope you are jumping up and down whilst typing You should be able to get Jasmin oil from most chemists, anywhere that does the aromatherapy stuff. If you can pick up a base oil as well (or use baby oil) with a couple of drops of the Jasmin you can massage it on your bump. Or better still make the OH do it for you

Crikes, I got all excited then too!!!! I think your new arrival is definately going to be a boy, as he is too lazy to do anything on his own already Bubs is obviously far to comfortable where it is ;D Mind you on the other hand, maybe grab these last few hours of peace and quiet. Seriously though, are you feeling okay in yourself, apart from severely impatient? Keeping everything crossed for you, for a very safe and very soon arrival!! Love and hugs Chica xxxx

Thats it thats the problem its a boy and its too comfy, just like my Jason was. When I went into labour my midwife insisted I kept drinking ice cold water to keep him awake so he wanted to get out for some kip. lol Mind you he hasn't slept since.

another oil to try is clary sage oil. i had about 15 drops in a warm bath as well as the pineapple and raspberry leaf tea. the oil helps bring on contractions and the tea softens the cervix xx
