We currently have plans for an awareness weekend May 3-5 2008. Over that weekend there will be various events taking place over the UK
Sponsored mile walk (If you would like to join up with other PNI sufferers/survivors/supporters in your county feel free to contact:
Veritee for West Cornwall
Hopeful for Cheshire
Yoyo for Lincolnshire
Winegirl for Nottinghamshire
Southerngirl for Hampshire
Doodles for Staffordshire
Jemma Rycroft (jemmarobin) for Devon/ Plymouth
Joannem for Humberside (Humber bridge walk)
Donna - East Sussex
(if anyone else is well enough to be up to arranging a place to walk in your local county - please just say and we'll get your name up here too)
Ebay auctions (we are registered as a charity with Ebay if it is easier)
Open House / Coffee Mornings
Sponsored firey coal walk (?! some members are much braver than me!)
Devote 10 minutes thinking time to PNI If you can't participate we don't want you to feel left out in any way
Yard Sale
Sponsored silence ( might be a good one to try the little ones with )
Recycle to raise funds (Yoyo can send you a freepost envelope for any empty printer cartridges or old mobile phones)
Non-uniform day (some bosses may be happy to let you organise a non-uniform / dress up or dress down day at your place of work - just need permission, a flyer, collection box, an internal email or notice and a donation amount suggested)
Organise a car boot or table top sale if you have the space or have a local comunity hall or community field which will allow you to do this
Have a garage sale This way you can de-clutter and also raise funds for PNI
A kids /adults / teenagers event - I know one member on here suggested perhaps organising a karting evening - getting people to pay per person and this would cover cost of the karting plus a bit more to go to the charity.
There's a few to get you started
Don't forget to download your sponsor form (CLICK HERE ==>[ftp]http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.dunlop/Sponsor%20Form.doc[/ftp] ) and also your flyer veritee.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=aware&action=display&n=1&thread=5404 and of course our online shop with lovely items provided by 'southerngirl' are always available
