Hi All
I just wanted a little rant as I am finding big draw backs to having a very tall child. My LO will be 2 in sept, yet she is the height of a 3 year old.
At gymtots today I had this snooty mother make a comment to me! They all have to sit at the end in a circle and lie down and pretend to swim. Well my LO wouldnt do that today and I just let her sit on my lap in the circle and this mother next to me said - she is suppose to be lying down you know. Well how I didnt say something back to her is beyond me! Everyone seems to think she is naughty 3 year old yet she isnt two!
Has anyone else had the same problem!

YES ME ME ME!! My LO is 2 but everyone assumes she is about 3 or 4 (she gets it off her day who is 6'2" i am only 5'2") Even at nursery they treat her like a 3/4 year old and it drives me nuts because some times she doesnt have the physical capabilities of the other kids! Today I took her to a farm park and she has a tantrum when it was time to go (v embarrasing) As i was dragging her out one woman with her 2 kids commented that she thought she should have been better behaved at her age! I got so mad and walked over to her and said `she is f*****g 2! And at least she hasnt been getting the goats by the scruff of the neck like your teo brats!'. Thought she was gonna deck me, but perhaps she realised that I was ready for losing it. Really gets me down sometimes when people look and comment on her still being in nappies because they assume she is older

And me! My son is really tall, big and stocky - in 9-10 years at 4 Costs me a fortune in clothes! His sister is tall at 7, but her clothes don't fit him and his do her, LOL! Slightly strange thing is neither of us are tall.....

OMG....I don't have particularly tall LO's but just read this thread and regardless of your LO's ages I can't believe that people actually comment. You may think things about peoples' kids but you never say it out loud. Good on you WG for giving that woman what for. Nosey biatch!! I hate people like that who act like their kids are bloody angels. They need taking down a peg or two sometimes. All I know is that when one of mine are throwing a tantrum in public I kind of want someone to say something so I can bite their heads off and vent some anger cos you can't really do it with your kids. Ok....getting back down off of my soapbox now!!

When my eldest was 2 she attended a 5yos birthday party and one of the other mothers thought she was a backward 5yo!
shes now 15 and taller than me (im 5ft11); all mine are tall.
