Wow, Giz you're doing so well. 6lb in one week is amazing. Most I've lost in one week is 4lb, but it's usually only 1 or 2lbs. Keep up the good work.
p.s. don't know how you eat all that cottage cheese! can't stand the stuff myself.

Well the diets gone tit up as usual . Think all those stomach pains I had were constipation. Took me days of 'normal' eating to get better and now I have lost the will to bother with it all again. This mornings weigh in found me back at 16stone 1lb so to sumerise. STARTING weight 16stone 2lb WEEK 1 LOSS 6lb WEEK 2 GAIN 5lb CURRENT weight 16stone 1lbNOT a happy bunny. Not sure what this weeks plan is either, I've already been in the fridge too many times this morning. All I have decided so far is that when the kids go back to school on Thursday I will be walking them every day.

Nah, got rid of it. Bloody thing kept screeming 'help' everytime I stood on the board LOL.
Got to try and loose a few pounds before we meet up though else I will be turning up in my PJs, don't have anything else that fits comfortably.

Hi Giz,
Walking will definitely help you out. Can you just start off by cutting out the crap and trying to eat more fruit and veg. It's boring I know but small steps. It will work in the long run x

Hi Giz Well I am starting back tomorrow with eating healthier and with more exercise. I have my cross trainer which I should really use but I know when I get on it tomorrow it will kill me straight away. I am going to start off slowly with the exercise but intend to start walking properly again and eventually run as want to do some sponsored runs. Am behind you all the way hun Liz x

OK so I've hidden from here for long enough. Dread to think what I weigh now, not even going to look at the scales but I know for a fact its alot more than I did when I first started this thread I'll be honest though, loosing my Nan half killed me and there was no way I was going to loose weight in that state. However I am feeling alot better in myself now more positive and generally happier. Not going to do anything stupid with dieting this time. The plan is this: Pluck up enough courage to get on the scales (would help). Eat a sensible breakfast with a black coffee. Keep lunch small. Have a family meal with lots more veg. Stop eating when I'm full. Snack on less fatty stuff. Cut down the fizzy drinks or have diet ones. As for excersise ))shudder(( I'll have another look through Liz's ideas and do at least a few to start with. I plan to start walking the kids to school after Feb half term on the grounds of its too cold for Jason's asthma at the moment. Hubby's been on at me for over a year now about having more kids and to be fair I need to loose weight if we are going to have anymore.

Hey Giz,
Just catching up and i came across your post and i think most of us are thinking the same way as you - new years resolutions and all that!!
I am really trying to watch what i eat and i will be upping the exercise as soon as the snow clears!! (could be a while the way things are going) although pulling the kids on the sledge is not only good fun - its also a good body workout!!! (thats if it don't kill me first!! LOL) I am signing up to the race for life like i did last year - i think having a goal to work towards helps loads - i know it did for me last year. Have you thought about maybe doing something like that? Last year me and Hopeful spurred each other on with our training regimes so maybe that would help too??
Just a few ideas anyway, will be keeping an eye on this thread (and maybe starting my own!) Good luck hun.xxxx

Wow you guys are really brave, walking to the shops is like the race for life for me. Good luck.
So I got on the scales this morning and am actually quite pleased with myself. I know I got dangerously close to 17 stone at xmas but now am back to 16st 4 lb. Not exactly something to be proud of but a much better starting point thats for sure. I've just had the most horrendous period again and have now vowed to eat more marmite to combat the pain. It's getting to the point where I would much rather give birth each month coz its not so painful but I remember having this thing for marmite when I was younger and it really helped with the pain. Something to do with the B vitamins I think. So from now on its black coffee and marmite on toast for breakfast every morning. Lunch is going to be a struggle coz I eat when Steve gets home from work and we both have a tendancy to pig out.

So I decided it would be helpful to 're-open' this again as I have started back dieting. Couldn't believe it though, my last post is more or less responcible for the last 18mths of my life. I'm going to make an effort to eat more marmite says me to avoid period pains ummm well it worked, also took away my ovulating pains, hense me falling pregnant within a couple of weeks of my last post on this thread ;D The rest of course is in my diary thread. Well my weight has been a nightmare. I always loose weight when pregnant and lost over a stone this time round which very quickly found it's way back on within the following few weeks in which I was in Addenbrooks hospital living on Burger Kings. The aformentioned, 'got dangerously close to 17 stone' Yep I got there alright. I've been breastfeeding (well expressing) for Janey for 10 mths now and decided it was time to stop and do something about my weight. This time I spoke to my GP, she's brilliant. Laid the law down about waiting til I had stopped breastfeeding and then recommended I look into the Dukan Diet. So this is what I'm doing and OMG it's perfect I started it on Fri (I'm on my 7th day today) and so far I have lost half a stone by stuffing myself with burgers, chicken, eggs, yoghurts and drinking coke zero and the best bit is excersise is forbidden (except 20 min walk each day). However I must come to terms that this is due to slow down considerably over the next few days as the diet progresses onto the second stage in which I should hopefully be looking to loose between 1-2 lb a week. Much healthier but less fun of course.
