Acupuncture for PNI and on the NHS?

Hi all

Just doing a bit of research - I have heard that acupunture is good for depression, PNI and anxiety.

Does anyone on here have it/can recommend it too?

Is it possible to get sessions on the NHS? Am gonna talk to my doctor next week anyway but just wondered if anyone here knows any more...

I had acupuncture for physical symptoms of pni privately and found it amazing. I had pressure symptoms behind one of my eyes, headaches and a few other bits and pieces. The day after it had improved hugely and I felt amazing. The lady who did it said to take it easy after a session which I did (but didn't do the second time and it wasn't as good).

I believe you can get it on the nhs as one of my friend's mother's has had it for shouldher probs. Perhpas ask your gp or phone the local hospital and just ask?

Thanks Monica - good to see it actually works and so quickly too.

Few questions - What happened when you didn't take it easy afterwards? How often did you have sessions and how long did it last after each one?

Am gonna talk to them about my anger management issues too and see if they can help that as well.
