Fluoxetine and dreams

Hi ladies

Started taking 20mg fluoxetine, am on day 7 and am having the most horrendous dreams, sometimes nightmares and usually being a dreamless sleeper it's upsetting me :-(

Anybody had any experience of this and will it subside?

Hi Beckah
I'm an old hand at fluoxetine (been taking it for 4+ years) for PNI with my 2 kids. Yes the dreams will subside, prozac is a weird drug that can affect you and make you feel a bit spaced out, but this will pass too.
You're only on day 7, I'd give it 3 or 4 more weeks yet - if you're still not happy with the drug then go back to your GP and ask to try another, not every drug suits everyone.
