Hi there
You could say that I feel like I can't carry on!
I'm at the end of my tether and been struggling with Pnd for a year since the birth of my baby.
Iv tried dosulepin and I get spots which make me feel even more ugly.
I tried citrolopam but I felt so fluey I gave up after 3 days and couldn't sleep
Everyone I have spoken to love citrolopam do u think the side effects would of Wien off quickly and that I would of slept
U see I suffer with insomnia as it is but the dosulepin is ruining my skin
Does citrolopam cause spots too?
Is it normal with Pnd to feel really ugly so much so I'm obsessed with my looks I feel old spotty etc;-(
I feel weird and cry most days and want to feel like me again and just can't see it ever happening
I feel so desperate

Hi Nenee
You sound like you are having a pants time. Yeah it is normal to not like yourself after childbirth whether you have pni or not. Our once fit, young bodies are certainly taken through the mill by babies. You don't have to take the drugs it's your choice but I would recommend it from my experience when you get the right one you feel so much better. The thing is the drugs take up to six weeks to work.
There are other things you can try to help, keep talking to us here, the ladies here are lovely, have you got a helpful health visitor, or contact home start they are a charity and have lots of experience helping women with pnd.
Perhaps go back to your gp and discuss how bad you feel.
Kat

Hi sweetie Im so sorry you've had a torrid time with the drugs, but as Kat says, sometimes it can take a while to find the one that suits you. I had to go through 3 different ones until i find the one that suited me. Unfortunately the side effects can be really debilitating and i know it took me a good 4 - 6 weeks to get over these but it really was worth perservering with it. I really think you ought to go back to your gp and talk to them, or talk to your hv as you don't need to feel this way...it does and will get better with the correct help. You are not alone honey, please keep offloading here, we are all here for you xx
