When I was first I'll, I sat and looked at the drugs for a weak before I took them. I was scared they would damage my breastfed baby and actually I did not want to get better. I know many of us have had this issue, so I thought I would start a thread that would be helpful to new sufferers.

Hi
Sorry haven't noticed this thread before - brill idea.
I know I didn't consider drugs for a good few months as I thought antids were for nutters and I wasn't one! I also couldn't believe my physical symptoms were tied to pni. In the end it was out of desperation that I took them and they turned my life around.

I'm scared of being dependent on them forever.

That's a common worry. I took Meds for nearly two years out of desperation. Antids are non addictive, but the official blurb is that you have to take them for good 6 mths after feeling better. If it's something you might like to consider talk to your dr about your worries x

Thanks monica, working through this tough time on 10mg citalopram. They are so expensive though, and I can't afford them! :/

Hi aura
Do you have a prescription pregnancy card. Should last until little one is a year, after that you could get a season ticket. It's a bit of an outlay but lasts a year
