Hello all Wanted to check in with you all and give you an update of how I'm doing. On the whole I am so much better now, I would probably even go as far to say I'm recovered (although a bit frightened to say that in case I jinx things, way my brain works I guess, lol). Never thought I'd be able to write those words a year ago! Recovered to me means I feel like the 'happy' less anxious me again. Of course my anxieties still creep up on me from time to time but I'm more in control of them. Still on my meds but haven't decided whether or when to start coming off them just yet, happy to just go with the flow for now. Since we brought our Sprocker puppy home in April things have been really good, very busy but good. I like to see her as my guardian angel sometimes, silly but true. We get out and about so much more than we used to which is great for me and the kids. My eldest turns 6 in a couple of weeks and my youngest is nearly 3!! Can't believe where the time has gone. For those still suffering and in the depths of this cruel illness, I hope I can give someone out there some hope that through the dark times that is PNI you WILL make your way through the darkness and get back to you again - it will take time, lots of courage and strength but you will come out the other side fighting, stronger and the greatest mummy in the world - one who has suffered and survived PNI all the while living the usual ups and downs of motherhood. Hang on in there Your children love you all so much. Think of you all often and will try to check in every now and give my support where I can. Without this site and the lovely ladies that offered support in my most desperate of times 1st and 2nd time round, I don't know what I would I have done and for that I am truly thankfull Stephanie x

Hi Steph
It's great to hear from u! And just brilliant to hear you are doing so well. Hearing positive recovery stories really gives hope to those who are struggling and can't even begin to imagine recovering.
Glad the pup has made such a positive difference to ur well being. I'm currently dog sitting my sisters lab and he does create a happy ambience.
Keep in touch! Monica
