Hi all, I have never been part of any kind of online forum, here goes: My 3rd child is now 5 months old and I have been diagnosed with pnd shortly after his birth. My main problem is anxiety that is terrible in the mornings.
I have a good support structure (although I worry that I will exhaust my friends/ family in the long run!)... And I am on medication: 30mg citalopram and diazepam to take as needed. It took me a long time to start stabilising and when I started to feel better I accidentally forgot to take my medication 2 days in a row which caused a massive landslide/ regression...
I am very lucky in that I have a very easy baby and I do not feel we have bonding issues, but my anxiety van be so debilitating which causes me to freeze.
I just want to feel normal again and be happy! Strangest thing is that somewhere in the afternoon my mind clears and I feel like myself for the rest of the day... And the next morning it all starts over again...
I have lost perspective and it feels like I am never going to get better.

Hello and welcome
Many ladies feel they are stuck in this groundhog day existence with pni so youre not alone. Have hope though - although frustratingly slow with ups and down but it does sound you are progressing and improving. How long have you been on the meds for?
Many ladies say the anxiety is really bad first thing then seems to ease off as the day progresses. Someone on here once suggested it was due to the body clock and some hormone or chemical is low at night so you wake up feeling worse. Just a thought: when do you take your meds? If you take them am perhaps change it to evening? Can you talk to your dr or even pharmacist about advice.
Even though you might not feel like it, do you or could you do any exercise? I found this helped me massively in my recovery - th erelease of endorphins can give you that much needed boost too.
You must be rushed off your feet with three children? Do you have any time to yourself? Could you factor this in and be quite ruthless about really pampering yourself during your free hour?
Please keep talking - we really do understand on herex
