Right thts it, i am weighing in on Monday morning. Like the idea of aqua aerobics Vee - I am frightened of excercise with the dizziness but that sounds like a good option!

I'll admit to having avoided this thread for a few days. I went and held my hand up to joining in then read how much everyone weighed and disappeared back into my shell. Think I can safely say I am probably the worst one out of the lot of you. Also a 'half pint' so my Dad calls me at 5ft 2in (and a quarter, this quarter distingueses me from my mum, very important quarter ) I am an easy size 18/20 and tend to float on the top half of 15 stone How bad is that, I'm not even 30 yet and already clinically obease. Anyway, I did lose 6lb last week due to a tummy bug but woo betide me I found it again ooops. I have got myself onto a FREE (winegirl) pilates class for 6 weeks (local surestart centre) which I know will help me as I have done it before. I am also determind to do more walking, this will be a dead cert in Jan once Joey joins Jay at his school, bit much doing the school run on foot at the mo. Really must eat better, both OH and I have cut right back on fizzy drinks and now live on water yuck and I have found the delights of black coffee again. If nothing else it has made me feel more healthy which I'm pleased about. Liz any tips on lower tummy trimming? you know the flabby bit below your belly button, all tummy excersises seem to work on upper tummy only. I need to get rid of the apron.

I think everyone here is 5ft 2" ;D No worries about having to lose a wee bit more Gizmoracer, you can do it lass. The pilates sounds good, I did pilates when my eldest was 2 and I used to frequent the gym...not these days though. I do walk everywhere though, so guess that's why I'm not a whole lot bigger really. As for the saggy belly (apron), join the club hun. I remember when I was a svelt 8-9 stone in my 20s and I saw MIL sitting in the shower once, with her belly flopped down on her nether regions (she did have 7 kids mind you). I NEVER thought I would have a belly like that, and I told her as much. I'm reminded of that incident every time I take a bath now and my belly flops as well after just 2 kids.. Gotta get myself motivated and cut back on the choccies, which is my problem at the moment. It's so cold and misreable outside, all I want to do it sit by the telly and eat.

I'm 5ft 8"! Am I the tallest member on the site??? Can I join the apron belly club too please. Mine is terrible and that's just after 1 little angel! Just cant stop the eating at the mo. Last night I had battered sausie and chips from chip shop and at lunch time I had a Maccie D's! I am doomed to be a lifelong member of the apron belly club!
Love MArion.

Hate to tell you this but you wont actuall find an exercise to get rid of the baby belly You need to lose the excess weight and then tone up, it is unlikely it will ever disappear completely. Lots of the tummy exercises eg crunches and things will help tone the area up so will seem flatter as the weight shifts. Wish there was a magic wand to do horrid areas only but sadly it doesnt work that way. Liz x

I am desperate to get rid of my apron belly too! Perhaps liposuction is the only answer,,,

Liposucion will just leave extra skin behind, I think its a tummy tuck we are really after, or in my case a whole body tuck

A lift and shift would be needed here lol. I am just under 14 stone now but a year ago was 17 stone so just shows it can be done Maybe I should do my aerobics instructor course and set up a local PNI group lol, exercise definitely gives you a lift. Am looking forward to the gym on Monday, not going until then as dont want to pass on this bug. I am looking forward to getting back into training for race next year. I have set myself some high goals and I am determined to race next year for PNI. You never know it might be the London Marathon in 2009 Liz x

Wow you guys, I'm so inspired to see you all. I too need to lose babay weight. Its this breast feeding lark thats getting me. I was never an eater and I had to eat to feed now that I am its become a habit!
I am 5ft 4 and weigh 9 and a half. i know some of u will say thats no heavy but I'm deceptive, i'm a light person, always have been, but I was 8 and a half and a size 8 now I'm a 10/12 and not feeling too confient about it. I'm not going to kid myself theres no way I'll get these things in a size 8 again, I'm now a 32 E and I dnt think u get size 8 E cups lol.
As for the exercise my prob is I dont do too much of it. i do walk etc and have 2 kids with the ususal exercise from it but i used to ride my horses 4 times a week, while on that subject horse riding helps apron bellies, it did mine 1st time round. i always had a very toned tum, so much that it was never flat, it had a muscle ridge running vertically up the centre. So now the lack of exercise make it all flab and wobble. So count me in girls!!!!

Horse riding is great for core stability as you have to control how you are sat or you fall off lol. Havent done it in years moind you. A great fun way to exercise is a gym ball, kids love playing with them too. You can get them really cheap in Asda and Tesco, about £4 I think. If anyone wants exercises for one of these let me know as I have loads. I know I will find it hard to get motivated to get to the gym again but once I have been back for a week I will be back intot he routine. I have seen a real difference in myself and this really does give you a boost to keep going. Liz x

I'm 5' 2" as well and I'm also 9 and a half stone Sarah, I completely know what you mean about feeling big even though other people might not see us that way. I'm still breastfeeding as my second one is only 3 months and I'm a 32 G!!!
I started a dairy free diet 2 weeks ago and have lost half a stone so I'd definitely recommend that to kick start a diet. Once these huge boobs have gone I'm going to return to horse riding to help get rid of the tummy. Running also worked for me first time round to tone up the tummy and legs. But with 2 children who has the time to exercise that much?!

Not sure I could do dairy free bobyn, I live on yoghurt and hot milk lol. I still ride, I have to I have 2 horses (might i say very unfit ones at the mo)! But I did think about running. I'm just afraid ppl will look at me trying to run without getting a black eye from the bouncing tits lol. I'm also not too good at running I'd be flaked out after 2 mins!
