Oh my goodness, I have put on another 1lb! It's just so easy to gain weight, and at this stage (5 1/2 wks pg) I cannot blame the tiny weeny baby growing in my tummy.
Right, that's it. I've had my two weeks of comfort and nervous and celebratation eating, now it's time to get back to business and start eating healthy and keep an eye on how many points I'm taking in.
I won't try and lose weight (as that's not sensible when pg) but I will try not to put any on since I've already gained the recommended weight gain for the 1st trimester and I'm not even half way through!!!!!

Mate i think i out a pound on in the first day of my pregnancy! Just make sure you dont go hungry while baby is growing - and anyway, pregnancy is a good excuse for the odd treat!

Haha, glad I'm not the only one. Yeah, I'm kind of making the most of it and eating nice things again, just in case the sickness starts like last time.

Everything in moderation and you will be fine. Portion size is the thing to be really honest about... try smaller plates! Stay well x x x

Well, I haven't been on here for a while but have been keeping track of my weight, so I will fill you in. The sickness started about 2 weeks ago now and I have had constand nausea and been throwing up about 1 or 2 times a day (horrid!) but that is better than the 5 or 6 times when I was pregnant with my son (perhaps it's a girl? ?). Inbetween being sick I am needing to eat a lot, which is also unlike my 1st pregnancy so no weight loss I am afraid. I've been swinging between putting on a couple of pound to losing it the following week, but I am not being particuarly "good" about what I am eating like while I was dieting. I keep craving crisps and chocolate as well as fruit, so at least that part is healthy. Anyway, here are the figures: New Stats
Height: 5ft 3 Starting weight: 10st1 Current weight: 1ost1 Current BMI: 25
Weeks Pregnant: 8 wks Weight Gained: 0lbs in 4 weeks (gained 3lb, then lost 3lb over the time)

Amazingly I have lost 2lbs this week, but then I guess it's not that surprising when you keep throwing your dinner back up (yuk!).
I'm not too worried since I lost a stone in the first trimester when carrying Ellis and he was born healthy.
Was nice to see the 9s on the scales yesterday though, especially since I'm not even dieting anymore.
New Stats
Height: 5ft 3 Starting weight: 10st1 Current weight: 9st13 Current BMI: 25
Weeks Pregnant: 9 wks Weight Gained: -2lbs in 5 weeks (gained 3lb, then lost 5lb over the time)[/color]

Haven't updated this for a while since weight has been the last thing on my mind, but now I know baby is ok and safe I thought I'd weigh again yesterday and see how I'm doing. Surprise, surprise I've lost a bit more. I'm still being sick once or twice a day (sometimes 3 times, yuk) and I'm eating less cakes and chocolate as I'm just craving savoury things. Shame I haven't lost enough to fit into my size 10 maternity clothes from 2 and a bit years ago! It'll have to be new ones for me when bump grows.
New Stats
Height: 5ft 3 Starting weight: 10st1 Current weight: 9st11.2 Current BMI: 24
Weeks Pregnant: 14 wks Weight Gained: -4lbs in 10 weeks (gained 3lb, then lost 7lb over the time)

Yes, do keep your weight diary up - I want to know how you're doing.
You would HATE pregnancy sickness (morning sickness is such an inappropriate name! All day sickness is better). It's worse because your digestion is slowed in pregnancy so you can imagine what it's like - I won't go into details.
I had accupuncture from my GP on Wednesday to see if she can curb the sickness that way but that very night I was up at 3am throwing my dinner back up (which I had at 8pm so you'd have thought it would have gone by then but no - soooo horrible). A few more sessions and maybe it will help.
Take care x

Lost another 1lb this week. In one sense I am pleased to be lighter but I thought by now I'd start putting on weight at 15wks pregnant. It's probably not a problem, think my stomach was still flat at this stage with Ellis - don't remember having a bump till 5 months. Seriously though, I swear my boobs must weigh lbs and lbs! I hate that they are getting bigger already. I have dreams about having smaller boobs and wearing nice tops and bras and you know what after I've had all my children I am going to have a breast reduction op, who cares what people think. I'm fed up of being out of proportion and top heavy. Hate, hate, hate it!
The accupuncture last Weds may have helped because I think I have only been physically sick twice since then. I had to miss today's session because I didn't have anyone to look after Ellis, which is a shame because you're supposed to keep up regular appointments.

Haven't kept this diary up for over a month but thought I'd check in because it'll be interesting to look back at weight gain for this pregnancy.
Well I'm half way through now and still only weigh the same (less 1lb) as before I found out I was pregnant. Which is great because I am able to fit into my old maternity clothes which are a size 10 (not a real 10 obviously since they are bigger to accomadate being pregnant). The jeans are already snug at this stage, whereas last time they were always slightly too big even with a big bump, but it feels good to be able to wear them and not need to buy anymore for now. My tops are a little tight though because my boobs are still bigger this time round worst luck.
I'm really curious as to what I'd weigh now if I wasn't pregnant - would I be 9st7 do you think or more than that? The baby etc. probably doesn't weigh that much now. I hope I am under or around 10st after I have given birth so that I can continue my diet from where I left off more or less.
I know I shouldn't worry about it but I really don't want to put on loads of weight. Not so worried about putting on the weight from the pregnancy, it's if I gain weight quickly from the anti-pyschotics I have to go on after the birth. Maybe it won't be as bad because I will be aware that they'll increase my appetite and I can try to control what I eat (I hope!).
New Stats:
Height: 5ft 3 Starting weight: 10st1 Current weight: 10st Current BMI: 25
Weeks Pregnant: 21 wks Weight Gained: have lost track of what I've lost then gained again

Crikey! I am the same height as you, weight more than that - and I am not pregnant! I do still blame the meds though...
Like you say, at this stage your weight is not even something to worry about it, just see how it goes after the birth.. and make sure you and baby are getting all the good stuff you need!!

WG, it will be the meds for sure! It was only when I came off mine I could lose anything. Me only weighing this much is totally down to being sick regularly so not nice, but baby is doing well despite this. Can you believe when I was pregnant with Ellis I went down from 8st7 to just over 7 & 1/2! Scary. No wonder when I was full term I only went up to 9st7. Oh to be tiny again ..... those were the days, lol!
