Hi I have physical symptoms now - have had for last 6 - 8 months to varying degrees -just wondered if anyone else had ever felt this. It is really hard to describe - no pain at all but "pressure" is the best word I can think of - sometimes it feels as if it is in my stomach - other times round my heart, makes me want to take deep breaths but I'm not breathless - if that makes sense? I have been to the doctors many times - I've had various cardiac investigations - echo cardiograph, week long monitors, ECG etc. All normal thankfully. However, this does not go away. Sometimes I think it is stress related, other times not but it is really keeping me back. Certainly did not have this before baby or during pregnancy. Would love to get some feedback from anyone who can throw some light on this one. red teddy Read more: pniorguk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=intro&action=display&thread=8114&page=2#ixzz235kf4C2h

Hi there,
I had this too. Reading your post really struck a chord with me. I also had a heart scan and tests with my second as had it bad around 3o weeks. With my first I had to see GP with the same symptoms at about 30 weeks. With my first it didn't happen again, but with my second it was a real problem from six weeks postnatal. It's good you are being checked as at one level it's reassuring. But these symptoms are so draining and my heart goes out to you. It will improve. Is it affecting your sleep
Thinking of you, Hopeful

Hi
Thank you so much for responding! It is very reassuring to hear that someone else has had this - although I would not wish it on anyone. I had a much better day today - yesterday I was convinced I was on my last legs! I can still feel "it" a bit today but not as bad. I made another GP appointment for next Tuesday - probably will feel fine then!! Sods law. When it is bad - I just can't do anything, it feels as if my chest is about to burst. Deep breathing helps a bit.
I didn't have this before I was pregnant or during the pregnancy - just since. I have put on weight which won't help.
Funnily enough it doen't affect my sleep - once I actually get to sleep! I very often feel better in bed.
Thank you so much again.

Hi redteddy
To me what you are describing sounds like extreme anxiety, it can give you that pressure sensation.
I know for me when I try my best not to let something make me feel anxious, it manifests in this way instead.

Hi Thank you for your reply - the last few days have been much better to the point where I am realising that it must be anxiety related. I'd made a GP appointment last week when it was bad but have since cancelled. Hope it is away for good. Really appreciate this forum and the responses. So supportive!
