Dear Charle
I nearly missed your post here –
You sound like you have had experience of PNI from the point of view of being a partner or husband of a sufferer? Is this is then past for you or your current situation?
You gave superb parenting advice about always being a team even when you have PNI - I think it is because we always did this despite PNI that Barry and I are still together...
You are very welcome either way to join us here – would you like to start your own thread either her on the men’s section or in the introductions section : veritee.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=intro
Or here on the men’s section
Even if this was in the past for you we would still love to hear your experience as this might help others who come on the forum in the future and could be useful to you as often survivors also have issues/experiences they have not been able to discuss or share.
Thank you for your contribution and advice about St Johns Wort. You are of course quite right that it is inadvisable not to take anything without checking it out thoroughly and especially with SJW, which while herbal is actually quite a powerful substance, and Anti Depressant.
We have some information about St Johns Wort on here see: veritee.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=meds&action=display&n=1&thread=4396
Which has been checked by a GP and a herbalist
For all ‘non prescribed’ medication or therapy we advise
PNI.ORG is not recommending any of these alternatives or complimentary treatments and if you decide to take or do anything you should do this with medical advice ( it is helpful to consult your GP even if you are considering a complimentary/alternative medication ) and you do so at your own risk.
and we often discuss SJW which along with natural progesterone therapy seems to be one of the few alternatives to Anti Depressants or anti psychotics that women on here with PNI have tried and consistently reported to find that it was of use in relieving symptoms.
Have you had experience of taking SJW yourself or a partner etc?
Hope to here from you soon
Veritee
