Hey Fran
Kye had lots of trouble with teething. I had these herbal teething tablets that really seemed to help. I cant recall what they were called but you would probably have a different brand over there anyway. The other thing that helped him during the day was a cold wet face washer which he used to chew and suck on.
Hope this helps a little Take Care Love Carmen

Hi Fran I used teething granules with Erin, and they seemed to work pretty well. You can get various brands of them , all of which are herbal. I know Boots sell them. Erin had a dose of them every night for a year as we were convinced she was teething. Her 1st tooth eventually appeared when she was 14 months old!!! When she really was teething we combined the granules with sugarfree bonjela, and calpol. Hope this helps Love Toni

Good luck tomorrow, Fran It sounds as though he is teething. Are you giving him regular calpol too? The other thing that sometimes works is a teething ring that has been in the fridge. To be honest sometimes nothing seems to work and you just need to ride the storm. Hope you are ok, i'm having a bad one today. Love toni

thanks wendy , im not sure whats he doing but hes grabbing my mouth with his and sucking my bottom lip off , its so cute tho.awww i do love him the little munchkin, and guess what news i had today at the hospital... drum roll ...hes got the all clear , hes no longer got the collodian skin condition , hes normal now , so at last i can wash his hair and use the odd babywipe and stuff and put any clothes on him , i was so chuffed i nearly kissed the doctor .it means no more worrying about the rest of his life looking after his skin , i was worried so much that he would find it hard with all the creams and waxes but they are no longer needed , hes perfect , im so pleased i cant express it properly but i want to celebrate , its the best present i could of had ever , anyway thanks everyone , i will still need the odd bit of advice with him as i am still abit thick with certain things and it doesnt come back to me much from the other kids but hey im so lucky .....from francoise

Hi Fran Great news you got the all clear. I am so pleased for you and your son.
Cheers Kathy
Ambesol is also really good for teething. It comes as a liquid - which can be used for babies and as a gel for grown ups! The liquid works well - contains lignacaine - but is stronger than bonjella, so lasts well through thenight.
