AAAAAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh
Poor babes - midwives should know better. I'm glad that he is ok now though it is such a shame when they have a rough start.
My babes hasn't had a very healthy life so far - not as bad as your leaon though. Me and my mum were talking about it before - we should have guessed as she was back in hospital every day for 3 or 4 days when she was 10 days old for blood tests. She has bee ill off and on since, but luckily nothing major (apart from the hospitalisation at xmas)
Do you find that you spoil him a bit more that the others? It must be hard not to.

Hi Fran, I'm back Oh, Leon's gorgeous!!!!!!(Makin me broody!!) Stupid midwife, I had one who caused me problems too. Lewis was born 8 wk early so I know where you're coming from with the worry! Its amazing how they grow & change, Lewis was so tiny, I could hold him in palm of hand & rest his little legs on my arm to feed him. He's a right bruiser now!!. Love Jane xx

Too right, babies are the most preciouos gift that anyone can have. That probabky sounds really soppy but itruly believe that each one is a little miracle and that i am lucky to be blessed with three "healthy" children.
I have to say that i am not a religious person but i have said the odd few prayers when it comes to my children. i want the best looking out for them and if that means praying then that is what i will do. i hope that noone finds that offensive - it is such a delecate subject and i dont mean to offend.
Even though they drive me round the twist and i seem to spend a lot of time telling them to go away oi still love them to bits.

yeah time i know what u mean , u know when leon was first ill , i mean with that skin disorder condition , not a disease i dont think you could call it, i was so wrecked but calm on the outside , everybody kept saying itwasnt normal , sorry im going off in another direction again but what i was going to say was i had a mass said for him , well two before his check up at the hospital and he got the all clear , and my sister in law who had bells palsy had a mass said for her , my cousin was a nun for years see and shes very religious so she sorted it all , but anyway on both counts it was amazing

I think that if something works then we shouldn't question. I like to think that He looks out for the children.
One thing that i have been thinking of lately that was on a tv programme or a film or something was that God doesn't give us anything that we can't cope with. I suppose in some ways it is right although we cant always see it at the time. I just hope that us lot having/had pni means that we are super mums and will be able to cope with anything that our kids throw at us in later life!
Your children are worth it as i am sure you realise and you will get through this.

hi all.
Isabelle has decided to start mimicking her mummy. I havn't been very well the past few days. have had a bad throat infection and been coughing quite a bit. So isabelle seems to think she is hilarious when she does it and has been coughing all day long for the past few days also. I took her to the doctors with me to have her checked because she was coughing so much but she is totally fine. She just coughs for the sake of it and laughs. Im not to worried but I dont want her to form a habit of coughing all the time. I know children can develop strange habits - i had a funny one when i was 10 and my little bro sniffs all the time for some reason. It would just become annoying to have her coughing all the time.Maybe im over reacting.

Had a quick question to ask girls.
Isabelle has developed a rash around her mouth. Red and patchy and doesnt seem to be helped by anything. It doesnt seem to be causing her any discomfort but i cant imagine its pleasant for her?? I have put ot down to her mouth being very wet, all the dribble while she is teething and it being all moist in that area at the mo.
Just wanted to know if anyone else's bubs had experienced this.
I have been trying to keep it dry as much as poss and putting a bit of sudocream on it when she nods off to sleep.
Just got me a bit worried and feeling a little anxious because of all the worries i had about my skin when i was very poorly earlier in the year so have panicked a little that there may be something wrong but im trying to find rational explanations rather than freak out.
Any advice/comments would be great

Is she teething?
Lydia gets a terrible rash around he rmouth when teething, I think it is to do with the dribbling.

Hi Lana
I know its very worrying when your baby has a rash you can not explain. I take it it does not look like herpes ( cold sores)?
We have herpes in our family and once you have it you find you rarely can stop it from being passed to your children - but if you have herpes in your family you would recognise it.
However Caja also had a rash when teething just from the amount of dribble - rather like nappy rash really.
If it is sore and patchy then it probably is something like this - but if it becomes crusty and or weeping perhaps you should consult your GP
But I am sure it is probably caused by dribbling.
Let us know how it goes?
All the best

thanks.
I did think that firstly it would be to do with all the dribblling but of course I started letting my mind wander that it could be somethinng else.
Its good to know that its not unheard of. Ot isnt weeping veritee so i'll just put it down to the dribbe for now.
thanks to both of you again
