when people asked me how old Dylan was at the two toddler groups I went to I had to turn to my friend Julia and ask her as her daughter waS 6 WKS older than him... I obsessively hung onto every word of Isabelle's whereas If Dylan asks me about him as a baby I can hardly remember...though my seviver pni comes from isabelle....
I suppose there's more passion for her...though it's hard to not mistake her for me...sounds wierd doesn't it?

Hope your arm is feeling better Fran.
Dont worry Jennie - I dont remember anything from Kyes first year either but I remember almost everything from Jay.
Lisa - both mine did sickups after every feed - they were both big boys though and I think they never knew when to stop eating. I was nearly always the one that had to stop them. You know when your breast feeding and they tell you to feed until they come off - mine never did - I always had to just pull them off or they would have stayed on forever. So I think in their case it was because they were just big pigs and over filled! I cant remember when it stopped though - Kye is now 19 months and hasnt done it for a long time though.
Take Care Love Carmen

hi just wondering if anyone has any tips about baby now rolling onto tummy in bed, she's 5.5 mths and she thinks its neat but i'm not so sure about it. i have rolled up a nappy next to her but she still manages to get over, she wants to crawl as well.
they dont stay babies for long do they!!!

All babies do things in their own time. I have a friend whose baby was walking at nine months. I don't think it matters if they roll over themselves. As long as you put them on their back to sleep, they will settle into their own positions. Jo still sleeps with her bum in the air. If you are at all concerned, ask your Health Visitor.
Sorry, I haven't read all of this thread - there is just too many pages to keep up with.

thanks
i know there isnt much i can do about it but they say not to let them on their tummys, to sleep , i think its mainly when she is awake and up to mischief in her cot.
i'm sure she will be fine, she is really starting to get to the next level, grabs for everything and wants to crawl, she can almost sit up, just a bit wobbly but getting stronger and cuter as well

Lucy I'm sure that if their at a stage when they can put themselves in that position its ok. Its new babies who can't roll back over that its a danger for. Freddie can sit for about 5 seconds with his hands out front. He hasnt rolled over yet though but he pulls his feet right up to his mouth so I think he could go over if he wanted to

Isabelle used to roll over on her tummy and I spoke to the health visitor because I'd spend all night turning her back, the hv said that it was fine as she was able to turn herself...so don't worry Lucy.....

Hi Lucy
Once babies are able to roll over onto their tummies it is fine, its just when they are small that you shouldnt place them on their tummies, just means you need to limit where you leave her now Lucy! or she'll be off before you know it! Susie x

thanks everyone for the replies
sorry i havent responded till now but we went away for the weekend. to my favourite sister's. it was fun except bubby didnt like the cot and rolled and rolled and kept waking us up, last night i was convinced she would smother under the sheet so everytime i got to sleep i woke again in a fright so i have had no sleep and we just got back from the 5 hour drive with 4 kids, 3 storms heaps of wind and a lighting storm and strike which made the grass catch alight , we had to drive through it, my daughter said dad you are the bravest driver i know,
anyway i will sleep better knowing that it doesnt matter if she sleeps on her tummy, i think she is nearly ready for not being wrapped but i am going to get a grobag, i think toni told me about them and i have found where to get them here in australia so i will be happier with one i think, its just a bit hot yet so i'm going to get a winter one.
anyway i know she will be crawling real soon, so i have to start baby proofing the house, its soo bad at present, all the big kids have so much little stuff on the floor.
i have read most of the other threads and i just want to say i hope evryone is ok, banana my thoughts are with you you ahng in there, and jennie keep going things will be ok and to everone having issues at present just take it a day at a time, i havent got time right now to respond to each thread so i apologise for adding everything here but i didnt want to ignore everyone.
oh wendabell i hopethings are ok with you and no meds, i agree you should go back to the dr's they are there for you right now. good luck.
lisa starting work i hope it goes well, i know i am so not ready for that yet i am glad you will have a stress free job you will enjoy though.
if i have forgotten anyone else i am sorry my thoughts are with you all though, annag, carmen, vonda, fran, mouse, time hi.

Came downstairs this morning to find Dylan in the frog laundry basket....just his head popped out of the top watching Dick and Dom In the bungalow...Hey Girl's amazing it's was empty (ok I do have two !)
Isabelle wants to apply to be on Dick and Dom....she's planning which friends to put down ...if she get's on I'll let you know...She told me what to write in my profile as she said but mum I'm more 9 than 8....
How can I feel down when I've two couple of nutty kids...plus a very strange hubby, who's been great at the mo.....he's not stressed which makes a great difference......
sounding good lucy...take care babes.....I think it's a great idea to come to Britain for a year....like the way your hubby gives you a smile when you suggest it..
