Misery..my son picked up gastrenteritis and now I've had it. My PNI always flares up a bit when I am ill. I start to get anxious and paranoid. I am also getting quite down that our attempts at having another baby don't seem to be working

Hi Clarey
I also suffer big time with the PNI when ill with a bug. In fact have a bit of a bug at the mo which has sent the anxiety over the edge so know how you feel hun. Hugs (())
Sorry trying for baby isnt working right now, but give it time, and be hopeful x

I have recovered from my bug now thank you. I did manage to loose some weight which is always a bonus I am getting a bit obsessed with the whole trying to conceive thing. This is just typical of me though. Why do I have to put so much pressure on myself? I have done this all of my life and although I am not as bad as I used to be it still creeps in again. Actually I did apply for a job recently and didn't even make the interview. I think I am just feeling rejection and failure from a few corners of my life at the moment. I don't do well at this sort of thing. I am determined not to let this drag me down. I have been off the meds for a few months now and I must try to stay focussed on this positivity. Hard though...

Thanks Hopeful, I am using one of those ovulating packs to see if I am ovulating and so far I haven't and I'm half way through my cycle. I will just have to wait and see. Feel like having a good cry today It isn't the PNI it's just me being selfpitying. Took my son to the toddler group and had a nice chat with some of the other mums which made me feel better for a bit.

Clarey hun, Did you ever check out this site. When I was thinking about conceiving #2 (long before I did), I used the charts on here to pinpoint ovulation. www.fertilityfriend.com/They used to have a great forum/community base with lots of support all FREE, but it looks like it's become so popular that the charge for some parts of the site now (VIP Membership ~ $45 per annum). Still worth a look even if you just want to chart your ovulation. Hugs Scarlet X

Hello Clarey I've just been reading your diary, and wanted to say how well you're doing now compared with a few months ago. Saying it to you because I know how hard it is to see that for yourself.
Don't pressure yourself over conceiving. As you know I had a downer at the start of this month when my period came on. But since then have managed to think it through and be calmer about it. Ideally I would have liked to have 2 children close together so that they could grow up together. Now that LO is 20 months I've realised that even if I conceive now they'll be 2 years+ apart so the window of opportunity for having 2 close together has gone and I'll just be happy to have another one when it happens. Hope that helps you.
Take care, FloBob x

Thanks ladies for your posts. Scarlet I've had a quick peek at FF and I think I will start charting my temps next month. Thank you for the site Yes Flobob you are right If I think back to six months ago or so i would have been happy just feel well again, be off meds and have my son. Life has a way of making you complacent about what you have. My 15 months ago all I wanted was to not be diagnosed with a neurological disorder. Sometimes you need to take stock and reflect. Thanks for your hugs Hopeful

Fertility Friend is Ace! I suffer with PCOS and was told I only had 5% chance of conceiving, but found FF really helpful and monitoring my temp worked! It was the chart on FF that told me I was pregnant! You have to get the right thermometer though for accuracy, boots do a good one in their family planning section x
Best of luck to you mate x

I loved FF as well. I joined about 4 years ago when most things on the site were free. Mind you even now I think the $45 would be worth it for the support you get and the chance to look at pregnancy charts for comparison. It's sort of addictive and you can get a bit obsessive, but it's better than obsessing about PNI. After charting for 3 months I was pregnant, sadly miscarried this one, but it was an excellent site I remember....yep can definitely recommend it. I think the chart analysis is free though, which is good Clarey, so get charting hun.
I had a boots thermometer as well WG.

Now ain't that true..
