Hi Helen, Feeling OK today but will be a good day cause my mum and dad are coming to see us for the day . Yesterday was a bit up and down, which is what it seems to be like all the time at the moment. Think that I'm doing OK and then really lose my temper with the kids

Had a lovely day with mum and Dad on Sunday which I always do and a really busy but good day at work on monday, then yesterday had yet another horrible migrane and this was the first one that I've ever had whilst taking the beta blockers. Luckily it was my husbands day off so the kids were taken care of and I could sleep it off. Saw the doctor who has doubled the dose of the bb's But actually had a happy day today Didn't have to work much and my son was at nursery this afternoon and so Gracie and I had a snuggly TV afternoon on the sofa. Sometimes happy days just appear when you least expect them

Still having problems with the stupid migranes. Even tho the dose is doubled I had a horrible one yesterday, plus dh was doing a 12 shift at work so I pretty much had to lie on the sofa and let the kids trash the house. Its just so annoying more than anything. I can't work out what makes them happen, and no the betablockers aren't working anymore I don't know what else to do.

Sorry you are having such a bad time with the migraines! I have had a few in my life and can only go to bed to try to make them go away!
My OH takes a drug called Zomig as he has suffered for years, but as soon as he feels one coming on he tales one of these tablets and it knocks it right on the head. Perhaps ask your GP?
Hope you feel batter tomorrow x

Hi MummyJ
The headaches are awful & also the sense that you cannot but let kids trash the house is so cruel, because you have no energy.
I found it hard to let it go over my head. Hope tomorrow is a bit better for you, but talk here anytime whenever you need to, Hopefulx

Hi Winegirl - Went back to the doctor on Tuesday and this time was prescribed Zomig, but then another migrane came on yesterday afternoon so I took one but it didn't really seem to make any difference. I still got all the same symptoms. I haven't got the energy to go back to the doctors yet again, so will give it one more try first. I also got told on Tuesday to take a few days off as the attack on Sunday was a particualrly nasty one. Its just starting to take over my life now that they're happening so often! I've been racking my brains for whats causing them but I just have no idea. On the upside tho the pni has been ok lately and other than the migranes I've been feeling OK

Gone over a week without a migrane now so hopefully the increase in betablockers is tarting to work. Also making myself work a little less, have the day off tomrrow and looking forward to just having a lazy day at home with the kids - I''ve promised them will walk into town and get a cake - they love doughnuts with spinkles on!! Had a couple of down days, especially yesterday - the 3 of us were supposed to go to the dentist but I just couldn't cope with it so moved the appointment, which now seems silly really. Been working today, was a struggle to get myself out of the front door, but once I started was OK. Hopefully was just a little blip

Not had a good day today. Was supposed to be going over to mums this evening to go out for a meal with some old school friends. I'd been really looking forward to it but woke up this morning and just couldn't cope with it. Work was a struggle this morning too, everything seemed like a real effort. We're going on holiday on Sat (Northern Ireland for a week) and I should be looking forward but haven't managed to so far.
