Had a bit of a panic attack yesterday...think it was because i was worried about my LO she only passed small amounts of urine all day like 2 nappies and even then they were tiny amounts! Phoned nhs direct who put me through to a nurse and the nurse then talked to the emergency doctor. the emergency doc phoned but was useless...think i disturbed her sleep! she said well see how it goes and if you think she is getting worse then take her to A and E....now that didn't help my anxiety one bit. Spent most of the night just watching her making sure she was ok. This morning she passed some urine not as much as usual but there was still some so a little happier. Seeing the HV today for her 9 month check so will talk to her then. Feeling better about things now although still paronoid that something is up...but she is fine laughing and smiling and playing so maybe it is all in my head.

Hi Anita
Could be a water infection? Does her nappy smell when it is wet? My LO has had a couple and i have just given her tons of water to try and flush it out of her system and it usually clears up after a couple of days.
How has she been today? And how are you feeling now?

Hi Winegirl,
She seems better today the health visitor asked me to get a urine sample...easier said than done lol ....no success there then. I'm feeling alot better today my LO went to nursery for 2 hours to get used to the place before i start work.....so managed to do the things that i couldn't get done so feel better about that.

Feeling ok today not too bad. Now that i am going to start work on mon have those guilty feelings about leaving her...hope she is alright. Looks like she had a milk allergy all along....doctors made me feel like i was over reacting but i wasn't so now am feeling better about that. Managed to go out everyday for the last 2 weeks so really proud of my self although going to have to stop spending money lol Think it was cheaper when i didn't go out. Got to take lily to nursery this afternoon which means i can catch up with all the jobs that never seem to get done. I have such a headache this am...fogot to take my tabs yesterday so that might have something to do with it...heres hoping it doesn't turn in to a migraine. Lily had her 9 month check, and she seems fine a little underweight for her age but they say that is due to the eczema and milk allergy. Trying to stop her itch cycle easier said than done she has to wear a all in one suit dduring the night and most of the day to stop her itching...feel so sorry for her....its just not fair. Anyway going to lie down for a bit and see if this headache wants to remove itself

Hi Anita
Did the headache go babes? Yeah going back to work is tough, bet I bet your LO will love being at nursery! I sometimes still feel guilty about having to work, but then i see how much fun my LO has at nursery, and the time that we have together is so much better for it. xx
Hope her afternoon at nursery goes ok x

Good luck for Monday Anita. I'll be thinking of you. I start back on the 14th and my LO had her first nursery session yesterday morning which went ok. I have to keep reminding myself what it was like afer my first going back to work and remembering that it was ok and actually the adult company was brilliant. Plus the social benefits for my LO were great so just remember you'll both benefit from the experience, plus the money has got to be handy! xxx

Yea the headache finally went after many an hour with it pounding.
Thanks Bobyn and WG, she spent most of yesterday crying at the nursery which made me feel a little bad but I am sure that the social interaction will be good for her and that she will get used to it after a little while.
Its going to be strange going back to work....i will actually have people who can talk!! and i think i will be able to cherish our time together a little more and hopefully enjoy her a little more and visa versa. Most of the money is taken up with childcare expenses so don't get much per month at the moment but hopefully i can work around that as the money would be useful...why oh why is childcare soooo expensive it almost seems pointless going back to work.
Good luck for the 14th Bobyn, I'll be thinking of you too

Hi Anita I have just come across one of your posts and noticedwhere you are. I don't feel quite so isolated now I see you are having a few upsets with nursery settling. Hang in there hun it will get better and like you say will do you both the world of good to. I have always been lucky enough to be able to stay home with mine but after having worked in many childcare facilities have to say there is a big difference to how children grow up by having that extra stimulation and other peers around them.

Hey Anita, I'm SURE she'll settle in and end up loving it so hang on in there lovely lady. Does your work do the childcare voucher scheme? If not get them to sign up to it, it's free and will save them money on NI payments so it's a win-win situation. You get your childcare vouchers deducted from your salary before tax and NI, so if you get £200 of vouchers you save about £62 meaning that the childcare only costs you £138 rather than £200 if that makes sense. Apologies if you get that already, I was just so excited when our firm started it to me what a difference it made to me on a part-time quite rubbishy salary!! I think you're right about cherishing your time together even more, I know I did after my first and already I'm relishing every minute I get with my two girls, even more so this time round as the eldest is off to school in September. It'll mean the baby will get lots of Mummy attention but she does love her big sister and I find it much easier to play with the eldest and include the baby as the 4 year old is far more able to interact and actually communicate. Baby playing can be very wearing can't it?! Must stop waffling in your diary now Anita! But, chin up lovely, one day you'll have money to spend again, and a lovely LO to spend it on xxx

Bobyn Waffle on as much as you like lol, my work does have the childcare voucher scheme and i have joined up, but didn't know i would be saving that much thought it might be £5 so pleasantly surprised. Oh yea baby play wears me out...my LO always has to play and so can't leave her for 2 sec or she will start crying. Thankyou too for the kind words they mean alot.
