My Dr says I need to be better to go to talking therapy as its a waste atm maybe this is me getting worse before the meds kick in? I don't know. I just dont know how much patience I have left. I hate my Dr and want to change surgeries but it seems too much in the middle of all this

How r u today?
Could your oh or family member help you change surgeries . Or see a different Dr . This one should have cottoned into the fact that you'have not been feeling good for a year now. There a different therapies out there- some R particularly good for anxiety.x

Well, ive just been to another gp practice not far from where I live and the receptionist said she wont register me as im not in her area! So what am I supposed to do now if I want a second opinion? Both drs at my practice are completely rubbish and my surgery scores well below average on their service and standards wich is at 62.5% wich I think is shockingly bad! My Dr does not ask questions, does not perform a physical exam of the complaint or otherwise. They both just diagnose by looking at you. Im so mad about this! Ive had panic attacks and anxiety for 9yrs! I know what is a anxious pain as I was agoraphobic for two yrs and what is not an anxious pain! Even when im not anxious im in pain! Ive never cried from anxiety pain either!'! I NEVER go to the dr for physical complaints either as I suffer OCD anxiety NOT health anxiety! The last time I went to the dr for a physical issue was 5yrs ago when I said I was asthmatic, every female in my family is and I had been until 18 but grew out of it. Yet the dr kept saying its anxiety I pushed and finally got to see an asthma nurse and she did the test n bam I was asthmatic and needed not only inhalers but a steroid pill for a while! Perfect example of my Dr "care" grrrrr Sorry to rant on xx

Omg that's absolutely horrific!! Both your own practice and the one you tried to register at. Immediately I'd go to the walk in centre if you feel you need help now, which you obviously do. I'd explain everything and be strong! Say you are not leaving until you are satisfied they are listening. They have a duty of care, which obviously isn't being met at your own surgery.
I'd then complain to your local healthcare provider (sorry I'm not sure who or where but a Google search should give you the answer) it's absolutely appalling that you've suffered for all this time with no proper support or empathy.
I hope you get the answers you need, here if you need to talk some more xx

www.nhs.uk/Service-Search/GP/LocationSearch/4I found the above link - you put in ur post code and it comes up with practices in ur area. Poor you- how unbelievably frustrating. Maybe look at the list and try another practice? Your Dr sounds rubbish and u deserve better. Well done for trying and don't give up!x

Hey all.
I've managed to change my Gp to a different. It is quite far away but if it's better then that's a big help! I am pleased to report that things, seem to be settling down on these meds as the side effects have lessened quite Abit recently. I feel a little better but when I'm premenstrual will be a real test of whether they are Helping! I'm hoping I started r feeling the good effects now the side effects are wearing off xx

Hi
It's really wonderful to hear ur starting to pick up and you've found a different gp. I'm sure both those things will make a huge difference to your wellbeing and outlook.
You might well still have pmt but hopefully it'll be easier in intensity. Pmt sucks royally!
