Hi WG,
What is the point of being thin and gorgeous if you can't have a holiday and chill and eat, drink and be merry. Once you get back on the diet you will get back on track in no time and can start chipping away at again.
Glad you had a lovely time x

Well at least you have a good excuse for that gain unlike me. Glad you didn't worry about the diet on holiday, life's too short to diet ALL the time.

Weigh in day... 11st I have eaten next to nothing, but I know exactly what the problem is.. wine. I have really gone overboard again with it this week. I need to at least cut down to one night in the week this week, not one bottle!! Boo hoo.. feeling sorry for myself even though it was all my fault! Grrr. New week, new start again..

Sorry WG, it's a bummer when it doesn't work out how you want. I was like that last week. Maybe next week you'll have a great loss. I'm not a wine drinker (spirit girl me) but do they do low cal wine? - I'm sure I saw a bottle of Weight Watchers wine at Tesco.

good thinking! Actually i was thinking about teh spirits thing.. there are less calories in spirits arent there??
To throw someting else in the mix - hubby has set me an incentive..
If i get to my goal weight (9st - still heavier than i was pre pregnancy but hey - gotta be realistic), he will take me on a trip wherever i want! New York, Rome... Never been out of europe and havent been abroad for years so that is a MAJOR incentive to me!

Weigh in: 10 st 11 and 3/4! so... 2 and 1/4 pound weight loss! Yippeee!
To be fair with the anxiety biting my butt it has made me eat less, so i guess every dark cloud has a silver lining! But did drink ALOT less last week and plan to do the same this week.
Actually just off for a swim now and then will burn some more calories doing house work this afternoon! Whooop!

Well done WG!
Plus what a lovely hubby and a great incentive - you'll soon get there.
Yeah, 1 unit of spirits is only 1 weight wathcer point and if you have it will a diet mixer it's still only 1pt. Don't know how many calories that is, but must be better than wine.

Well weighed myself on Friday and I was 10st 8Ibs. Would like to say it was all my own hard work, but actually it was the increase in anxiety from starting the meds stopped me eating and drinking! LOL
Seem to be getting my appetite back now though, plus as I remember the meds were the cause of my weight gain in the first place so will have to work extra hard me thinks...

10st8 - that's great! Although I know how you got there is not ideal cos of no appetite etc, but still, must feel nice to see that on the scales.
Yes, it'll be hard now you're back on meds but now you're aware of their weight gain potential you can keep an eye on what you're eating etc. What are you on at the moment if you don't mind me asking?

Of course i dont mind. I am back on escotalopram. The problem last time was that i was on this drug but also beta blockers for migraine associated vertigo and i came off them both at the same time too so not really sure which one of them caused the weight gain. Sure i will find out now though!
Well I got on the scales today and it is 10st 9Ibs so put one pound on. Which is no surprise to me as whilst I am still not bothered about food i have been drinking way too much wine again. Self medication. I know its bad, and I know it does the meds no favours, and i know i need to ease off again. I guess with feeling like poo I have used it as an excuse and loved the relief from the anxiety that alcohol gives me.
So plan for this week - LAY OFF THE WINE! LOL x

Not heard of that med - there are so many out there. Well, I hope it doesn't cause huge weight gain since you've worked so hard to get this far.
Don't be hard on yourself about the wine, it's not surprising you want a bit of relief.
You'll lose that 1lb again and more next week, I'm sure. It tends to go that way sometimes, put on then lose it and more.
Have a good week.
