Thought i would kick us off then!
Pre pregnancy i was 8st. Just before my due date i was about 14st! (big baby and a bad craving for custard donughts). After she was born i managed to get down quite easily to 9 and half stone.. but then with the PNI diagnosis came two lots of meds, which put more weight back on again!
My heaviest post pregnancy has been 11st 9Ibs. I managed to get down to 11st as have been following a 15oo cal a day diet followed by exercise 3 times a week, though when off with swine flu managed to go back up to 11st 3Ibs...
So still eating 1500 cals a day in the week (not counting weekends) and gym and swim 3 times a week. Target is 9st so going to keep an eye on my weight here with a weekly weigh in...

I did weigh myself last monday and still 11st 3... grrr. Not impressed. surely 1500 cals a day 5 days a week should incur SOME loss...
Oh well, must try harder - i will fit in my old clothes!! LOL

Hi H,
Just keep plugging away. Have you got those scales that measure in quarter pounds. You may find that you have lost half a pound but scales will not register it. What are you eating in a day??

1500 cals mon - fri then i dont cout on weekends. I think if you deny yourself food 7 days a week you end up caving so I allow myself a takeaway at the weekend and a croissant etc..
Also go gym/swim 3 times a week.
However i was running around like a loon on placement where i lost weight and now back in uni i am on my ass all day - so perhaps need to move it down to 1000 cals??

Hi WG, it's horrible when you've dieted all week only to find you've stayed the same weight, but you have to look at it positively and say that you've mantained weight rather than put on any more.
Don't drop too many calories. Weight watchers advice is that you shouldn't eat too little otherwise your body goes into starvation mode and stores fat. I don't know what the minimum number of calories is. Why don't you join weight watchers online with me? It's really easy and most weeks I've lost 1-2lb. I've only not lost anything twice since I started 2 months ago.
Well done for your gym and swim. That's way more exercise than me, mine only comes from pushing a toddler around in a buggy.

I agree with bookworm princess - dont drop too many calories!
Keep going with it and keep going with the gym and swimming. You are doing really great and soon you will see the rewards for all your hard effort.
Dont go too overboard on a weekend though otherwise you will put on rather than maintain or lose weight.

Hi WG, It does give you tips and recipes, and there is also a plan of a weeks menus if you're into that sort of thing. I hate cooking so end up just having really simple stuff and I use a lot of there ready made freezer meals, which are actually quite yummy. You could buy the magazine first and see if you like the suggestions, also browse their website - I don't think you have to be a member to access all of it.
I've been pretty bad this weekend and not counted all my points. I saved quite a few in the week so hoping I will be ok. I'll be surprised if I've lost more than 1lb though. I just hope I haven't stayed the same. I'll know tomorrow morning.

Thanks Natasha x
Well I eat their meals alot too.. i dont understand the points thing though and so am trying to calorie count instead.. Just had their sweet and sour chicken actually!!
Do you diet 7 days a week? Also do you drink at all??
My down fall is the booze.. i know it but am clearly not doing enough about it!
I was suposed to go to the gym tonight but snowed under with work so i plan to swim tomorrow, gym on wed, and swim thur. In the meantime - must stay away from wine!! LOL
Today I am 11 st 1 Ib. So i lost 9, put on 3 and have lost that 3 again. Want to aim for 2Ibs a week so must try harder this week!

Hi WG,
Glad you are enjoying the WW meals too - have you tried their desserts, they are yummy! I never just have a boring old yoghurt for pudding anymore! Well done for getting down to 11st, that's fantastic, you're on the right track. Aiming to lose 1-2lb a week is the best way to lose weight and keep it off apparently. I lose on average 1.5lbs a week.
Yeah, I do "diet" all week by counting my WW points, although sometimes you wouldn't think I'm on a diet with the amount of chocolate I eat! Points are based on the calorie content of food and the saturated fat content, and also the amount of fiber in food is taken into account somehow. At first I was allowed 19 points a day and now I am down to 18 because I've lost enough weight to go down a bracket. But you are allowed to save up to 4 points a day for special occasions or the weekend, which is what I do every now and then so I don't have to feel like I'm dieting if I go out for a drink (which is rare) or a meal etc. Also, I do allow myself the odd blowout when I go over points, but I wouldn't do that for a whole weekend.
I don't drink very much at all as I'm not a wine lover. I have a bottle of baileys in the cupboard that I've not touched since I started WW because I'm scared how many points that must be with all that cream! But the other night hubbie and I went for a drink and I didn't worry about my 3 spirirts and 3 bags of nuts, and I still lost weight that weeks so it didn't matter too much. I can't drink more than that in one night because I'm a lightweight, LOL! I think it affects you more when you're on anti-ds too doesn't it??
Good luck when you weigh again next week! I'm addicted to the scales and weigh every day, but I don't make it "official" till each Monday morning. It's amazing how much your weight goes up and down each day though so I shouldn't really do it.
