Well I went to the docs, my appointment for colposcopy is on 14th sept, at 10:10am. I thought I'd do a friday because I felt sore the day I had it done and for the day after I had terrible cramps, but Alan doesn't work weekends, so he can watch the girls and help me over the weekend. I asked the doctor about coming off the injection. I was put on the depo injection and was on it for just over a yr, but came off it 7 weeks ago, and I've had a few problems with discharge but no bleeding, he said as it's a 12 week injection, it's likely I won't bleed for the first 12 weeks off it anyway. He said it can vary from woman to woman, but he said if I haven't bled in 8 weeks time to go back and they'll do a blood test for hormone levels. I've called Grandma and the girls are ok, gorgeous as always, they sent me some pics, I miss them so much!

I had some terrible news yesterday. My Auntie V, died last night at about 10pm. She had a brain heamarrage. She'd been battling depression for manyyears, and had beaten breast cancer. It was quite sudden and unexpected. Apparantly, the family in Bradford got to say goodbye and spend some time with her before she died. I've not spoken to my dad for nearly a yr, but as he said, some things take priority over arguments. I'll be going to the funeral. She was 49, and is the only person I know who saw breast cancer as a good thing. She had to have both breasts removed an when she went for reconstruction, they made them a few cup sizes bigger because she always hated her small breasts. She was always the 'mad' one of the family, and knew a lot about depression. She's got 3 children, 2 girls and a boy, and went through 8 miscarriages before she finally got her children. Her youngest is only 6 or 7 and doesn't really understand, her girls are 12 and 14.
Just thought I'd let you all know xxx

Well it's Auntie V's funeral on friday but it's been made perfectly clear I am not welcome, so I've decided not to go, it's not fair to her children and Grandma Amy if something kicks off. I went to the hospital on saturday and got the splint for my wrist, but they said my tendons feel hard, not quite sure what that means, but I've lived with this for 10 yrs!
Thea's not well, she's got a viral infection, so we're keeping an eye on her. Everything else is normal, Georgina's going through her independant streak, which is always fun lol

Thanks Sian, I went to my friends yesterday, was nice to get out and about, we're going to a friends round the corner today, she's got three children and suffers depression so it's nice having someone who understands. Bingo tomorrow, can't wait. Although we're talking about going on a wednesday because it's cheaper, so that'll be good, save a bit of money! I am so tired today, and I really need to tidy up but it's hard with a splint on my wrist.

Thanks everyone,
Been struggling to get on to the site, it keeps crashing my PC! Well I didn't go to the funeral, didn't think it was a good idea, but I sent warm wishes to everyone. Not been up to much, Georgina's become really bad at staying with anyone again. I've getting more and more concerned about her 2yr check, because she's not going to do anything for the HV, she's gonna freak out. But then I'm worried that the HV is gonna send her to loads of specialists and she'll freak out even more. I want to take her to the hairdressers but I know she's not gonna let them touch her, even sat on my knee. I spoke to the doctor and she said to go to the dentist to get a check up, she'll need to go to hospital and be sedated, just for a check up, and that's a lot to go through at 2.
It's her birthday next saturday and I am sooooooo excited. We're having a small party and I can't wait, I've bought loads of decorations, all Pooh bear of course, and I'm going to make her a special banner, about 5ft long, something special. Suppose I better get on with it

Hi Susanne
Sorry your little one is having to go through so much. Could someone come to your house to cut her hair? One of these mobile hairdressers?
I hope she has a fab birthday party! I was dead excited about my little one's first birthday a few months ago and really went to town even though there were only 6 adults here! That actually fell to five when I ended up going upstairs and abandoning due to feeling ill with the anxiety! But she had a fab time. How are you making the banner? Sounds like a great idea, I wouldn't know where tos start!
Hope it all goes ok with the 2yr check x

Hi Susanne,
I can't believe GJ is gonna be 2!!! wow doesn't time fly? I know you are worried about your HV referring GJ to 'loads of specialists' but do you realise you can tell them that you don't want her to be referred? When Nathan had his hearing test and just ignored the lot!! my HV wanted to refer him to the hospitals hearing team but i said no as i knew there was nothing wrong with his hearing, he was just bored having to sit there and listen to stupid high pitched noises!! She wasn't very happy but in the end she said she had to trust my judgement as his mother and do as i said as they can't force you to go to see anyone you don't want to. So if you do feel that GJ doesn't need sending to specialists then try and pluck up the courage to say so. This is a hard thing for many mums to do and alot of mums don't even realise they have this choice. So i just wanted to let you know that you DO have a choice.
Hope you are keeping well?
Loadsa Love

Hiya,
I'm doing ok, still bit up and down, but I suppose with manic depression that's something I'll have to get used too.
I didn't know that Sarah, thanks for the tip! Although my new HV is pretty good.
Wine, I've got a roll of paper, and then it's just gonna be a case of decorating it. I bought a Pooh bear border, so can cut the pictures out of that, I've collected Pooh bear stuff in past few months, so hoping it'll be fairly easy.
OMG I found the best thing, it's 5ft tall, and it's got Winnie the Pooh, tigger, eyore, and piglet on it, really bright, really colourful and says Happy birthday!

My eldest had her 2 year check at home cos I'd just had the little one. She refused to stack the blocks, hid the crayons so the HV couldn't take them back with her and wouldn't draw the line or circle and insisted on doing her own drawing (which was a big scribbly mess obviously).
She did do the peg board thing and point to the doll's eyes, mouth etc but freaked out at the HV when she tried to pack these things away. All in all very entertaining :-)

Hahaha I just know Georgina won't even go near her. So I'm going to record her drawing a circle, making animal noises, pointing to eyes etc and then if she doesn't do it, I can at least prove that she can!
