Morning Hopeful,
It just fell off one day at home, first week I think. It's dry and looks like a stick. It was my partner's idea to keep it!

Hi Matty,
It's such a lovely idea - never thought of itxx
My box for my second looks rather empty in comparison to that of my eldest. Any ideas welcome!
Anyway, I have done a good old fashioned letter for each - never dates, hopefully! Maybe i should do it in 'text' speak just in case ? lol!
----------------
On another subject girls, need advice for the old PMT. I really suffer and need suggestions. I'm hoping to take up Yoyo's suggestion of AC. Any other ideas welcome.xx
Thanks
Hx

Hello Hopeful,
Have you kept your children dummies if they ever used one, I mean. I never wanted to give a dummy to my daughter but in the MBU I was told that it's better to have to throw the dummy away than to have to cut the finger off. I kept her first dummy. I asked my ex-partner to send me Olly's first babygrow but he wouldn't do that. Maybe a little lock of their hair?
PMT - I used to suffer a lot before I got pregnant, ever since - it seems not to cause me as much pain, but still... I used to hug a hot water bottle to my tummy it was nice.
Sweet dreams

Thanks Mattyxx
I've managed to look out some other things- seems I kept the first pair of their shoes. Wished I'd thought of baby grows though .. although relatives did knit some nice things (my babies were both big - 2nd over 10lbs, so the little thinsg never did fit!!), but I will pop those into the box too.
Thanks again, hope you're ok Hopefulxx

Hi Hopeful
Your story is inspiring and brave, you must be so proud when you read back what you have gone through and how you've come out of the other side x

Thanks KL77xxxx
It was just a 'transcript' from my interview with MIND. I wasn't completely well at the time and probably left out some important details. Nevertheless, a step forward hopefully in terms of talking about my story...I find this difficult!
Thanks again Hxx

Oh hello x I would just like to say, that whilst I was considering snoozing on the couch this afternoon - the blinkin door bell rang!! Hubby said 'important - come here'...- my retort was 's** off, I'm having a lie down!!' Anyways, turned out I got a thumping big bunch of red roses from 'The Forum'/ 'mysterious fairy'? ;D Everyone is wonderful here and have helped me beyond anything I can describe... And I'm loving feeling so much better.. I really love the flowers and should not have clocked up so many posts! Hopefulx

I have had an interesting evening tonight, as my husband has returned from a trip to Finland. He had to be assessed by a neuro-psychologist, for part of what he was doing with work..
...and it seems they got onto the subject of PNI..as the neuro - psychologist treats such women on a daily basis (the distinction between PP/ PNI was also discussed) .
Some of the comments from this 'specialist'were things like:
- if you have a problem from the neck down, why can it not be accepted that you might also have a problem with 'from the neck up' ie. the brain - which is complex and extremely vulnerable? I thought it was interesting that my husband was interviewed for a new job by a guy specialising in neuro psychology and PNI!
Concluding comment of whom by the way was - 'it is far more accepted in Finland, than in the UK'
Surprise, surprise!
Oh well, we'll move those mountains soon Good weekend to all Hopefulx

Hi Hopeful
I listened to an interview an radio 5 with stan collymore the other day who temporarily put his career on hold due to depression (you can listen to it again on BBC radio 5 website). Anyway, he made some very good points of the stigma attatched to depression and the way the word is banded about and pointed out that it is a terrible illness that effects many people in many different ways.
When he was asked if at the height of his career the paycheck and flash cars were any compensation for his illness, he retorted that if a person had cancer or some other horrible illness then no amount of money would be compensation so why would it be for depression.
He too suggested that so many cannot see how you can be ill `from the neck up'.
Anyhow, reading your last post just made me remember all that and if anyone decides to listen to it they will probably also agree on the points he raises.
Hope you don't mind me crashing your diary like this Hopeful, and I hope you are having a good weekend.
Winegirl x

Hi Newwiexx
I'm not sure which posts mention the forum - you're right - there are so many! But I think I probably mean this online forum.
I have been to Teeside a few times - but not as far North as you - closer to North Wales.
Here for you
